A very warm welcome from Carol on the evening I checked in and a lovely breakfast in the morning cooked by Roger, her husband. I was even given a lift to my party venue the next morning. The house was very quirky and artistically decorated with mannequins at the front door, and very vibrant colours.

The facilities were lovely and it was immaculately clean. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The breakfast was amazing and we even had an evening meal which was delicious and real good value for money. We were amazed, best place we stayed in for a while. My husband & I have just returned from a 3 night stay at the Olivia and cannot give it enough praise! The room was spotless, comfortable and tastefully decorated with a compact but very adequate bathroom. The owners were excellent hosts and made you feel very welcome. It had a very relaxed atmosphere which was great. Should you be looking for a place to stay in Chapel St Leonards I can highly recommend the Olivia. We have already booked a return visit along with friends.

My partner is an invalid but there was no problems as there was a stair lift to our bedroom.The breakfast was the best we have had in a hotel. The apartment was well designed and had everything you could possibly need for your stay it was spotlessly clean, and very comfortable, there was good parking, the owners were welcoming and friendly and happy to provide advise on the area, nothing was to much trouble.
The breakfast menu was nothing short of 5* would have loved to stay longer if only to sample everything offered on their superb menu.
Would not hesitate going back to the Gables Guest House.
