  This is an excellent B&B! Our room opened onto a patio with table and chairs, looking straight out to fields and countryside. The room beautifully decorated, light, modern and bright, and was like a mini-apartment with a small kitchen including sink, hob, microwave, fridge, and plenty of plates and cutlery to allow for takeaways. There were p... wat mensen zeggen » lenty of supplies for tea and coffee, and a jug of milk in the fridge (a step up from many hotels in this respect!). There is some traffic noise (ment - Our room was very well fitted out - plenty of space and the added facilities of a kitchenette. It looked out over the meadow so the noise from the road was not a problem to us. We were very comfortable and delighted that we ended up staying here. This was not our first choice but we 'lucked out', as it happened. Our first choice 'The Old Rectory' in Tintern discovered a 'computer error' and therefore double booking about 10 days prior to our arrival. (We had booked two months earlier through

  Hazel & Mike were great hosts. Nothing seemed to be too much trouble. I was trading at the Abergavenny Food Festival and Hazel gave me a flask of tea as she knew how busy we'd be which was a lovely gesture. She also allowed me to store some things in her fridge! Bedroom was cleaned daily. The location is fab - max 10m walk into town centre.... wat mensen zeggen » - Very friendly hosts and provided us with an evening meal without booking ahead, with last minute changes. Helped with bags and drying us out as it was really pouring.

  The hotel is fantastic as is its very lovely lady owner. Me and my partner booked in for a weekend for a wedding and had a wonderful break. The rooms are very comfortable and decorated with beautiful furniture. We stayed in a room with a separate bathroom, the style is very typical of a building of its age and so the shower being part of a old fa... wat mensen zeggen » shioned bath was more of a quirk than a hindrance. The breakfast was lovely and the staff were a pleasure to chat to. There was a band playing on the - I loved the old architecture on the house, and how it had been refurbished so that it was clean and comfortable for modern users. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the toilet/bathroom was quaint, comfortable, and functional. I liked how close to the castle, high street, and tourist information area it was. I liked how the owner was so relaxed, and always cheerful. The breakfasts could be light (which we preferred) or cooked, and I appreciated the flexibility. I also liked the live music on

  For the price what was on offer was excellent, amazing value. The room, whilst basic in design and decor, was clean and had everything we needed. The bed was comfortable and the shower was superb. The staff were fantastic, very polite and courteous. A great example of this is that we mentioned to the girl on reception (Spanish girl - think called ... wat mensen zeggen » Elena?) on the Saturday morning after the first night of our 2 night stay, that we needed our air con checked to ensure that it was working ok as we h - Staff on reception at check in were the most amazing I've ever come into contact with! I stay in hotels 44 weeks a year all over the country from budget to luxury and I was treated so well here I won't hesitate to return and recommend this hotel. The staff could not do enough for me despite booking .com not informing them I had even booked! The beds are very comfortable and no noise from other guests heard unlike in the ibis budget in cardiff, I'd much rather drive a few miles down the road t
