  Friendly welcome, not often nowadays do you get shown to your room. Excellent food; breakfasts and dinners. Room capacious and well maintained. A useful touch are the separate reading lights - too many hotels these days are quite gloomy in the rooms. Location is very good in attractive,and on our visit, snow covered countryside. A very enjoyable ... wat mensen zeggen » short stay. - The staff was welcoming and helpful. Our room was beautiful and quiet. We slept well and enjoyed the delicious English breakfast. We also enjoyed having dinner in the cozy dining room. Best of all were the gardens our room over looked. The wait staff were fun and professional. We loved our stay and enjoyed the historical surrounding country side,

  The hotel is fantastic as is its very lovely lady owner. Me and my partner booked in for a weekend for a wedding and had a wonderful break. The rooms are very comfortable and decorated with beautiful furniture. We stayed in a room with a separate bathroom, the style is very typical of a building of its age and so the shower being part of a old fa... wat mensen zeggen » shioned bath was more of a quirk than a hindrance. The breakfast was lovely and the staff were a pleasure to chat to. There was a band playing on the - I loved the old architecture on the house, and how it had been refurbished so that it was clean and comfortable for modern users. The bed was extremely comfortable, and the toilet/bathroom was quaint, comfortable, and functional. I liked how close to the castle, high street, and tourist information area it was. I liked how the owner was so relaxed, and always cheerful. The breakfasts could be light (which we preferred) or cooked, and I appreciated the flexibility. I also liked the live music on

The kitchen cater to several venues - lounge, bar and main dining room, so naturally will be bit stretched.   As a stop-over for our family of 3 adults, young child and small elderly dog, we found Hilton Newport to be: very welcoming and professional; displaying a high standard of service, both at room level and in dining areas; accommodating ones wishes wherever reasonable and providing high levels of accommodation. We had advantage of a very good rate and consider our stay to have provided excellent value f - The price of my stay and the fact that I was a mother staying with my 21 yr old son. The twin room I stayed in was perfect for that situation. The chefs on that night ( 8/10) were brilliant and I am wheat free and dairy free they adapted the menu for me last minute and I felt spoilt. They were very busy that night but still took the time to make me my very own tomato sauce. Massive plus.
