  The location of the Hotel is fantastic. In the middle of nowhere! The history about the Hotel is fascinating. All the facilities the Hotel offered are first rate. The staff are excellent, the food gorgeous and the rooms very clean and tidy. For somewhere to chill out amoungst beautiful surroundings, The Shap Wells Hotel will not disappoint. - The d... wat mensen zeggen » ecore was amazing, like stepping back in time.   Excellent, very friendly polite staff who go out of their way to make you feel welcome,nothing is too much trouble. Really good Full English Breakfast, yet again the staff were very friendly and helpful. Leisure facilities are Fab,good Gym & by far the cleanest, largest & best steam room & sauna we have been in. Don't be put off by the reviews, the rooms are not the - I was a little worried after reading the reviews, but we had no problems at all. Before going i requested a newly refurbished room and it turned out to be a spacious twin, that was clean, comfortable and quiet. I do agree that the rooms are a little warm and the windows don't really open, but other than that we had a comfortable stay. Staff were helpful and polite in general and any requests etc were dealt with straight away. Breakfast is that of a budget hotel, but plenty on offer and all sel
