We went to Port Wenn and left Port Isaac. For us it was the
quintessential Cornish Port town - so much more than what is portrayed
on the show. The location of the Slipway is, oddly enough, across the
lane from the slipway which means you get to wake up to the sound of the
sea and its gulls which is what you would expect from a seaside holiday.

and comfortable. The view of the harbor from the balcony in our room was
wonderful, The breakfast was outstanding and the hotel main menu was

3 bedroom flat adjacent to pub meant plenty of room for our family, plus it was quiet since it wasn't directly above the pub. Beds were large and comfortable, plenty of pillows. Breakfast was included and it was fab. We had dinner at the pub as well and it was excellent. Staff was helpful and friendly. We decided we wanted to stay an extra night and they worked out a spot for us!

We booked a suite and it was worth every penny, great views great room great breakfast.
We had a swim and had the pool to ourselves its a little dated and in need of some TLC but you would have to be a real winger to complain about this detail. The lifts worked fine but we opted to walk up the tastefully decorated stairs.

Stayed for a weekend in February 2013 and we enjoyed every minute. Hotel very welcoming, clean, nice and warm.
Restaurant is mega quirky and a joy to relax in.
Leisure area utilised, sauna excellent combined with dips in the pool (Which was a bit fresh!)
The breakfast was - delicious. Plenty of choice to be had both hot and cold.
All in all a very enjoyable, relaxing stay and we will book again without hesitation!

We were going on holiday to St Ives and decided to travel on the Friday night with an overnight stop nearby, instead of Saturday morning to beat the traffic jams. Arrived here to friendly reception at about 11.30pm with drinks brought to room. Rooms were smart, breakfast enjoyable, dining area had outside terrace with views and location was absolutely perfect for our travel plans. Would recommend to anyone doing what we did.

The smugglers has 3 rooms all of which are named after local artists they all have separate entrances and are very clean and comfortable the owners of the restaurant were really friendly and helpful food in the restaurant was excellent we would not hesitate to recommend this to anyone looking. We always stay at Jamaica Inn when we are en route to St. Ives - which we have done in all seasons and in all weathers. The setting on beautiful,wild Bodmin Moor is romantic and atmospheric but extremely handy just off the A30.
Warm and cosy inside, Manager Steve and his staff always make you more than welcome. Rooms are comfortable and squeaky clean and you can be sure of a very good breakfast the next day!

The Artist Residence is a cosy and lovely hotel. Rooms are comfortable, clean, full of details and nice decorated (each room by a different artist).
