  What is there not to like? The staff are simply brilliant - it's really nice to be recognised and addressed by name. We had a great room with a sea view. The bars are very good as are the restaurants and yes you really must try the Governors Indian cuisine at its best!! A good selection of places to eat and drink and nice outdoor seating areas as well as a pool. Very much a luxury hotel which we could not fault, except for the location which was our choice.

  Mot of the staff were very helpful and courteous. especially in the dining room.... Excellent. Liked our room and the gardens, very relaxing. general atmosphere of the place very good. - the staff were very friendly and helpful.I was with my 6 year old grandson and we had problems getting him out of the swimming pool.

  We found our first experience of Jersey very welcoming because of the staff and facilities and comfort of the Shakespear. We came for the Jersey cat show and the staff were very kind and considerate towards our much loved show cat.Nothing is too much trouble for the staff and with the added comfort of a beautiful spotless clean room we will not ev... wat mensen zeggen » en look at another hotel when we return next year.The food is beautifuly cooked and there is plenty of choice for breakfast.The dining room is nice an - We had a brilliant (and unexpectedly extended !) stay at The Shakespeare. The room was comfortable and very well fitted out, with a superb view. The Cafe South, with similar sea views, is a delightful place for breakfast and dinner, and the food was excellent. Special mention must be made of all the restaurant staff, who were exceptionally friendly and efficient - by the time we left, we felt like we were old friends. We will certainly recommend this hotel, and wish the owners every success for
