  I have stayed there many times, starting in the mid 1970'S. It became a luxury hotel after that, and this is the first time I stayed in the more modern era. In general, I liked everything, but especially the staff. I feel they gave outstanding service. I arrived without a wallet and no money to pay the cab. The hotel staff graciously paid the cab ... wat mensen zeggen » and put it on my bill, even though I had not yet registered. (My wallet had been temporarily lost.) - The hotel was charming and inviting. The location was perfect for us. I was traveling with my daughter visiting another child that is taking a gap year and is in the Oxford Tutorial College. she was able to get to us and we got around the town wonderfully. The staff were all helpful and informative. The environment was cozy and warm which was greatly appreciated because the weather was chilly and wet. Would definitely recommend to others.

  Prettige kamer. Personeel behulpzaam. Ontbreken van lift is jammer maargezien behulpzaamheid personeel niet echt een probleem. - The staff was courteous, attentive and informative. In the bad winter weather the location was excellent for the train station. - It was relaxed, the drinks available to your room were priced fairly.

  Our visit as part of a self-organised university tour. The Bocardo is central and walking distance to most of the colleges, museums, shops, malls and covered market. It is located on George Street above Jamie Oliver's restaurant, cinemas and theatre across the road. Although breakfast is not provided, George Street has an array of cafes and restaurants serving breakfast by 6am. - I loved everything about The Boacardo and would recommend it to anyone. They went out of their way to give us an early check in, helped by holding our bags after our stay while we did a tour, recommended a good food pub, offered adapters, had quality toiletries, etc. Beds were comfortable, and temperature could be controlled by us.This was a delightful hotel which I would stay in again.

  I booked the hotel mainly because of its proximity to the venue for a college reunion dinner. A spacious free carpark in the centre of Oxford was an added bonus. The conversion from the old Barclays Bank has been carried out sympathetically and we had a spacious room for the night. Quod, the bistro attached to the hotel serves good food, as evidenced by its obvious popularity. Ne - The staff welcomed us back for our 1st wedding anniversary with their friendly, courteus mannerm and a bottle of champagne in the room- we first stayed at The Old Bank last year ,having just got married, and they made our trip extra special by upgrading our room and again giving us champagne. It's the little touches that make it so special! we will be back every anniversary!

  We booked into our standard room,which was well above standard. All was good until we found that the bathroom sink was blocked. The staff arranged for maintenance to come to the room. They were unable to fix the problem straight away, therefore the manager arrived and moved us immediately to a superior room with complimentary drinks. Will definitely stay again. - Absolutely loved this hotel! I booked the Malmaison mainly for the fact that it is a converted jail and that it was in a Lewis episode. It was a bit of a splurge & worth every penny! The bar was fantastic & both bartenders that we encountered were quite lovely! We were treated really well by both gentlemen. By far one of the best experiences I've had in a hotel in the uk. I would love to come back & spend more time.

  LOVE THIS HOTEL! Very new, clean, and well appointed. I HIGHLY recommend suite 12--great views, wonderful kitchenette, plus helpful instructions on use of TV and Wifi access. Wonderful, helpful staff! Owner Simon should be proud of what he's created and who he hired to run it--BRAVO to you all. INCREDIBLE PLACE--very high marks!! - Lovely room, very comfortable bed and great ensuite facilities. Nice kitchenette in the room also. Breakfast basket of muffins, cereal, breakfast bars, tea/coffee etc topped up daily. Very close to city centre (10-15 minute walk) and train station (15-20 minute walk). Friendly staff. Room had a feeling of privacy.
