  Due to bad weather and a change in plans, my husband made the booking over the internet for myself and my teenage daughter as we arrived in Edinburgh late at night. He chose the Bank Hotel as it had a late check-in.   It is a suite hotel less than a ten minute walk from the main Railway Station and ten seconds off the Royal Mile. Our suite was actually a fully equipped apartment with dishwasher, microwave kitchen sink refrigerator and plenty of kitchen utensils.   This was without a doubt, one of the most enjoyable UK stays I have ever had. The hotel exceeded my expectations. Though rooms were small, they were well appointed, efficiently arranged and meticulously kept. The staff was stellar, the restaurant exceptional and the location as perfect as could be.   The apartment was modern, spacious and extremely clean, with a huge window overlooking Nicholson street. We relaxed watching the world go by and still the noise wasn't a problem at all. The parking is very convenient with a connecting lift (once you have the key) although it is quite expensive.
