  I had just one, very minor, irritation at The Kensington Studios. The AC machinery outside and below our room seemed not to stop at night. As i say, only a minor irritation as it didn't stop me from sleeping. Now the positives. My first visit to London was only aided by my stay at The Kensington Studios. We found the tube system ex - We were very impressed with the layout of the studio room and the design of it. The heated floors was a bonus when we came in out of the cold! Clean, comfortable bed and accommodation with reasonable facilities for storing food, cooking, washing clothes etc. Wasn't cold weather but heating seemed adequate.   Even though we were booked into the Sapphire, we ended up a few doors down at the 'Pearl' which is their sister Hotel. All rooms in each Hotel are the same according to the Pearl Manager, so that was fine with us. Our room was in the 'sub' area below street level, but still with a window to the outside so wasn't claustrophobic.   We booked the Saba Hotel as it was an easy walk from Hammersmith Bus Station, had excellent reviews on letsbookhotel.com and fitted our needs for one night in London.
