  The apartment was absolutely spotless, everything you could think of was there, fluffy white towels, toiletries, tea/coffee/sugar & bottle of milk in fridge. Both rooms were spacious with a lovely double in the attic space with en suite bathroom. Kitchen was very modern with plenty of room. The living room had 2 big sofas, massive flat screen... wat mensen zeggen » tv & a lovely Big rug. The location was brilliant for Harrogate town centre - 5 minutes away on foot. We will definitely be going back. - Although we booked a studio apartment we were surprised that there was a fair amount of space in the apartment itself. Plenty of crockery etc., and some tea bags, water and soft drinks which were a bonus. Ideal if you don't like the idea of having huge breakfasts at a B & B or hotel. We would definitely book these apartments again. Very central to the Town.

I don't like hotels for being snooty and commercial so I'm very glad I stayed here - very smugly as my colleagues booked into the holiday inn at double the rate! Land lady was lovely, breakfast yummy and bed comfy :)

  Loved the fact that we were a two minute walk from the shops and near restaurants for the evening. Excellent value for money and a very comfortable and enjoyable stay. Much nicer than your run of the mill holiday inn or travel lodge where they are all the same! Also liked that you had a bar connected so we could have a drink late evening. Girl on reception was really friendly & efficient. Did not dine there but has a few drinks in the fat badger bar which we enjoyed. The price of the room was excellent @ £59 for a double. Would deffo stay again

  the location was great only a 5 minute walk to the train station and to the shopping centre. Contrary to other reviews I found the reception staff very helpful, especially Natalie. The rooms were spotless and very comfortable. Parking was no problem - car park at the front of the hotel and plenty spaces at the back. The Brasserie was ideal for a pleasant meal and I noticed a number of other people on their own, so you didn't feel awkward.

  Room very clean all the ameneties we required. Very comfortable Good breakfast. Good central location. Would stay here again. Staff very helpful and always willing to help - Fantastic location, very good breakfast served by kind staff. All in all very good value for money - we will return.

  I can say that my stay at Ashwood house was amazing, as the staff is so polite, attentive to all requests and always ready to help. The room with single bed was very clean, bright and warm, WIFI was working without any problems. The bathroom is just perfect, the shower cabin was very new and had a modern design. The breakfast had a variety to cho... wat mensen zeggen » ose from cornflakes to proper english breakfast, no one could stay hungry after it :) I will strongly recomend to stay in this hotel to everyone and v - I thought the hotel was very well suited for people wanting to visit Harrogate or attending a conference or exhibition. Even though I was in a single room it was light and airy and the en suite shower was exceptionally clean, very high standard. Breakfast was nicely cooked as well as cereals available. Parking may well be a problem in the summer but I used the car park behind the hotel and had no problems

  It was convenient for the two places we wanted to visit. We felt that whilst the hotel was basic the receptionist and the catering staff were first class and made our brief visit a good experience.
