  The quirkiness; if you don't like quirky then don't stay here! The staff were young, helpful and keen to make our stay a pleasant one. We chose a room without a window which was fine for 1 night. The hand made bed was awesome (spend money on your bed and shoes as if you're not in one you're in the other). The choice of lighting in the room was ... wat mensen zeggen » good also. The "rain" shower was very pleasant too. The reception area was well structured with seating and lighting and we spent a few hours there - - Friendly and helpful staff - Free breakfast bag (juice, apple and a bar) hanging on your door every morning - Clean room with a very comfy bed and a nice rain shower: what more do u need? - Close to tube & vibrant/multicultural/trendy Brick Lane with all its different shops/restaurants/bars/markets.   I used the hotel as a get away from my own apartment in shoreditch where my son was having a party. I was delighted that the special offer was on for 79 pounds otherwise staying wouldn't have been possible to do. I liked my room - I did visit the holiday express where a friend was staying - at the Hoxton rooms were waaaay nicer. Wished I'd been able to try the restaurants - perhaps I - We like the location being close by to the Old Street tube station and a cab ride away to King's Cross and St Pancras stations. There is also a direct bus 55 to Oxford Circus (25 mins ride). We love the modern design of the hotel and the cleanliness of the room. We like the novelty of the 'paper bag' breakfast.   Great staff! Very friendly and professional. Hotel is modern and stylish with a touch of elegance. An extra plus was the comfortable bathroom. Top quality overall, I will definitely book this hotel again (been in London 20+ times, this Hotel is the best I stayed in so far). The staff are great, nothing is too much trouble. Spotlessly cean in a areas. We were upgraded and a little birthday cake awaited us in our room for my husband's birthday. Requests were dealt with immediately and we even got a tour of the hotel as we were interested in the history and architecture. The location is ideal. Well done Andaz for making our stay so enjoyable.

  First of all I'd like to thank the staff of the hotel, they're extremely friendly and helpful. Rooms are very good taste designed, comfortable with everything you may need. The hotel is in the heart of the business district, so it is a quieter neighborhood on the weekends, but bustling during the week. We took a short taxi ride to Tower Pier and went on the Thames from Tower Bridge to Westminster.
