The whole stay was an event. Checking in late meant having to enter the guest house by codes through gates made it very different. The room was well equipped and not what I expected bearing in mind the age of the property. Shower was hot and powerful after walking from the car park in the rain this was very welcome. Staff and breakfast was excellent. Comfortable quiet room - tray and minibar of complementary treats - power shower - wifi and iPod docking - very friendly and helpful staff - location opposite the Ironbridge. Great breakfast in Darby's Tearooms below. Car parking nearby. We booked very last minute to visit the Museums here and it is an excellent base.
alle beoordelingen » I felt spoilt and very special.Staff very friendly and helpfull...nothing was too much trouble.I was upgraded to a front room which overlooked the Iron bridge which had lots of special toutches ie complimentary wine water juices and cake...It was just a lovely experience...breakfast was great. We were greeted like old friends which i thought was lovely, we thought every one was so friendly the room was clean with lovely cake in the fridge wine and fruit juice very nice and the breakfast was gorgeous we will be back. Bridge View is located in a central position in Ironbridge and its museums. The room had been renovated and was comfortable with a good choice of breakfasts. Staff were friendly and helpful. The staff were genuinely friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble . The rooms were comfortable and had every attention to detail , as well as some luxury treats . Pauline was an absolute delight without her the experience would not have been so good. The cakes in the fridge were a great touch and the breakfast was fantastic!. Thoughtful touches in the room. Cake on arrival, toiletries etc. Staff very friendly and couldn't do enough for you. Primarily it's location. Overlooking the Worlds first iron bridge in a pretty gorge. The "olde worlde " village. The view and friendly staff and the people of ironbridge and lots of places to ser within walking distance. lovely location in Ironbridge across from the historic bridge. Walks along River Severn. Excellent location for Ironbridge museums. Location,breakfast. The rooms are lovely, comfy, nicely decorated, I enjoyed the direct view on the ironbridge. Nice and hearty breakfast. Very clean, good breakfast, staff pleasant. Beautiful area and would visit again. Car park was difficult to find and although secure it was a long way from the guest house. Floors creaked a bit and the room I was in was next to the entrance gate so any late returners made a lot of noise. Slight concern at first that entry to guest house out of hours was via wrought iron secure gate, short alleyway and then outside stairs - but this proved to be fine - all well lit and easy to access - so in the end it wasn't a problem at all. The only small downside was the car parking area which was not directly in front of the hotel and I was concerned if it would be dark walking back on my own later in the eve,but it was ok. the only moan we have is the rooms were way to hot. When it wa hot room a little stuffy. Owing to the listed building restrictions a lot of steps & stairs. Parking OK if a little way away but allowance made owing to the location. Nothing. Beds were small for double beds. Larger, higher beds would be a lot more luxurious and add value for money. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. Access and parking slightly difficult. Small room, no view!. The walls are really thin, and I could hear my noisy neighbour burping, and moreover snoring all night. Did not have full recovering sleep. Asked about local buses prior to booking, but received wrong information: buses did not run on a Sunday. Saturday bus service stopped at 8pm. This deterred me from arriving in Terlford for a Conference. Also - B&B (stairs and entrance to room) were in my view, a little narrow and one had to be careful.
