The room I had was lovely - the decor was modern but had a cottage feel. The bed was very comfortable, the room was a good size and I appreciated being able to make myself a cuppa. There was an honesty bar, which was fantastic, and the hotel is perfectly situated for the theatre and trips into town. I also appreciated have free wi-fi, something you don't get with modern chain hotels. There was a warm welcome and breakfast cooked to order. I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely recom. alle beoordelingen »
You won't find a much more comfortable small hotel in a nice town anywhere in the country! The hotel is well run with helpful staff and has comfortable rooms. The rooms are competitively priced and the hotel is convenient for exploring the pleasant town of Cheltenham. I would recommend!.
Fab location within walking distance of restaurants and shops. Street parking or Pay & Display available but taxi from train station only £6.00. Relaxing atmostphere with nice touches for guests, particularly if solo traveller. Would recommend and stay again.
Close to parks and shopping. Clean and comfortable room with lovely view out to the garden. Lucky to get car parked directly outside. Lovely welcoming reception, sitting & breakfast areas. Really nice breakfast.
Owners were very nice & helpful.
Room was very comfortable and breakfast was excellent.
Central location, with a 4mins walk to High Street (the shopping street), easy to find a pub, restaurant and supermarket.
The relaxed atmosphere, the friendly, helpful staff, clean and comfortable accommodation and good quality and quantity breakfasts.
Nothing was too much trouble all you have to do is ask. Strongly recommend.
Very comfortable and well-decorated bedroom and bathroom. Attractive breakfast room. Lovely cooked breakfast. Only a couple of minutes walk from the centre of Cheltenham.
Very comfortable bed, great shower, spotless rooms and friendly hosts. Wonderful breakfast - can't fault this Hotel for a value for money stay in Cheltenham.
A very comfortable hotel in a convenient location, serving an excellent breakfast. Very good facilities e.g. TV, hot drink-making in room etc.
Very welcoming and friendly staff, lovely breakfast, perfect location for city center, and for daytrips to beautiful Cotswolds.

Nice room, charming welcome, good breakfast.
Great breakfast - tailored to each guest!.
Nice and clean, good food, close to city.
It fitted my requirements exactly.
Owners were friendly and happy to do that 'extra' bit to please.
Breakfast was freshly cooked and ingredients of a good standard.
Honesty bar was a decided bonus for a small B & B as was the lounge area which gave you a place to read and relax. Location was good just a couple of miles from the racecourse and fairly central to the town centre.
The staff were very friendly making it easy to come and go as necessary.
The location suited us very well for the purpose of our visit and a satisfying breakfast was provided.
Clean, efficient, nice breakfast,.
Nothing.
Nothing.
Nothing really to dislike.
No fridge in room.
nothing.
Not one thing.
Parking is hit and miss as its on the street, no car park. Just a tiny down side and I did get parked.
shower cubicle a bit cramped for larger people
did not refill sugar or biscuits on a two night stay.
No fault of The Abbey but Cheltenham shops have yet to spot that Christmas is only a few days away but still all closed at 5.30pm!.
Everything was good there was nothing we didn't like.
nothing all good.
not dislike but the wifi password not easy to get late at night.... could be included in manual.
Breakfast finished at 9am meaning you couldn't get a good lie in. 10am would have been better.
Nothing.
Location not good with a lot of noise in the early hours of the morning. A boutique hotel it is not.
Shower had limited power (Room 11).
the dining room was too small.
Nothing.
I booked the only room available alas it was also the smallest room. However it lacked for nothing, an it was on the back of the property with a park being the backdrop.
Single room was spotless but it was small, though equipped with all you needed for a comfortable night. Having the private shower room down the hall was a novelty but no real problem.
Its over the top to say I didn't like it but the smallness would put a few people off and I suppose I found the price of £48.80 a bit high for such a room. Having said that I'd consider staying here again.
The photographs tended to flatter the accommodation as the decor is very basic and could do with an upgrade. Also some external attention to the entrance and fresh paint to the rear would be an improvement.
no staff when needed to park car; single room v small, no coffee in room.
