This former coaching inn dates back to 1649, and offers free Wi-Fi and à la carte dining. It is situated in the historic village of Repton, an area that was once the capital of the Saxon kingdom of Mercia.
The Boot Inn retains some traditional features, including oak beams, old fireplaces, and sash windows. Before becoming a hotel, it was first a brewery, and has also been a bakery and a boot-making site.
Rooms at The Boot Inn are simply furnished, with a TV and facilities for making tea and coffee. Some have their own bathrooms, while others have shared bathroom facilities.
You can enjoy traditional and modern dishes in the restaurant, and a tapas menu is also available. Each morning, a full cooked breakfast is provided. Outdoor seating is available in the garden and courtyard.
Alton Towers is a 35-minute drive from the building, while Derby can be reached in under 20 minutes. Nottingham is a 40-minute drive away.

We liked it all, down to the uneven floors, which just added to the character. Richard the owner was so lovely and an interesting guy to talk to. Going back soon.
Excellent food, very well presented, the staff were friendly and
professional. Our kind of place, we would certainly stay there again.

Large room, excellent breakfast.
location and the price.
Breakfast.
The staff tried to be helpful. The rooms were just about adequate.
The staff were very helpful, and the breakfast was very good.
Poor hotel
Nothing to recommend.
nothing.
Coffee.
Breakfast was average.
Room was actually quite quiet considering proximity to the bar so we did sleep well. However we found it weird that we stayed on a weekend and didn't see anyone in the bar the whole time! I think everyone in Repton heads to the Bull as the bar is far nicer there.
Absolutely nothing!.
Nothing.
Cheap.
There was nothing we didn't like.
There were problems with the showever pressure. My TV didnt work. No tea and coffee in my room. Little things that matter.
No towels provided.
no shower gel no towel ligt broke was not fixed.
Rooms need modernising.
Bathroom bulb didn't work so used another rooms bathroom.
The room we stayed in was ok but need freshing up as looking very tired.
I ordered breakfast for 8 oclock, when we went down for it at 8-10 all
the down stairs was lovked up. Waited 5mins, then left. We had to get
food at Donington race track which cost a fortune.
hotel very dated, in need of refurbishment.
adequate for men only, wouldn't take the wife.
No towels upon arrival, reception had already left when we discovered this so no towels/shower until next day. Have to point out that we arrived late (9.30 PM). Also no bin in the room. Slightly unhappy about door locking system with code (instead of key).
check in at 5 pm
no flooring in bathroom
noise from pub.
Foisty towel (which is a plus because I had one ) and a dirty shower .
The whole ambience of the hotel was unclean. Floors had not be cleaned from previous night. Breakfast was served on an adhoc basis. There was no cereal, nor marmalade with toast. There was only one towel between 2 people for 3 nights. We did obtain another towel, but that was dirty and could not be used. The owner was not available to complain.Whoever owns the Hotel appeared to have couldn't careless attitude.
The rooms were very quirky but not the cleanest, we refused to use the
shower as it was so dirty, its a lovely old building but could do with a
good cleaner and some new beds, despite this we had a good time there.
Poor hotel
Was not ready to take guests as it was being refitted
Very poor experience will not return as it was not up to standard.
everything, badly run establishment with no runimg hot or cold water in bathroom, only a matter o time becore the place closes down.
Non smoking policy.
the boot inn was not to our standards we will not stay there again.
The room wasn't clean, and it was full of insects. I actually got bitten 4 times. The towels were old and we weren't supplied with hand towels. The furniture in the room was old and falling to pieces. It was overpriced for what it was.
Never seen such a run down disorganised filthy place ever!.
Everything.
Rooms in need of repair, wifi poor, only one channel working on the tv & card machine didn't work when trying to pay for my stay...I won't be back.
the place is the pits.
