A lovely warm welcome. Bedroom was very clean and comfortable and complimentary water was a bonus. The staff were very friendly and the food in the restaurant was a high standard. The position of the hotel makes it an excellent base for exploring the area. There is a footpath leading to the coastal path just minutes from the front of the hotel. Brixham is within easy walking distance. If you don't want to walk the steam railway is right next door!.
alle beoordelingen » Well decorated and spotlessly clean. The owners work incredibly hard and take great pride in their hotel. We had our evening meal in the hotel and the food was very impressive. The breakfast was good. Excellent value for money. We were able to walk to Greenway House and also walked into Brixham a couple of miles away. Once over the threshold there is no doubt that the owners and staff have worked hard to achieve the standards we encountered. They always say don't judge a book by the cover and it is very true with this establishment. 9 out of 10 - (only let down by lack of grass garden) outside. The staff and management made our stay a real pleasure. From arrival to departure noting was too much bother. Presentation was impeccable and the menu and food on offer was well priced using fresh ingredients. Excellent in every respect. Fantastic stay for a wedding in Brixham. Staff were great and offered drinks when we returned from the wedding late into the evening. Great sized rooms and excellent little touches with bathroom toiletries. Overall great stay!. Very friendly staff, will do most anything to please. Food in hotel in evening excellent. Nearby steam train station to Kingswear with Ferry to Dartmouth provides easy day out. Handy local bus to Brixham. No traffic noise. It is immediately obvious when booking in to this establishment that it is operated with considerable care and an attention to detail. A warm welcome from both the staff and the central heating during a Winter visit. the staff were very nice and up for nice banter and very polite my partner said she had a wonderfull time .with the room and staff who made her laugh thanks very much | we will be using the hotel again thank you. Thought the (excellent) meal quite affordable considering the price of the room. It would have been nice to have had a residents lounge to relax in as the bar area is quite busy and more a reception area for the restaurant. The location of the inn is a bit unprepossessing, on a main road and next to a steam railway station. Not noisy though in our room. Opening time of 17.30 is a little late. Whilst we were waiting for the Inn to open so that we could check in we saw 2 cars come and go when they realised the Inn was not open. 17.00 would be more beneficial to weary travellers. Nothing!!. Initial impressions on arrival were somewhat mixed but once inside the premises the impressions were elevated immediately. Nothing.. All o.k. No faults as far as were concerned. Could not fault anything really - location of building is just off busy road but traffic noise was not a problem. Plenty of parking space. My partner found the breakfast portions quite small. Bed sheet not changed in the 4 day stay. Pillows were too hard and a selection of hard and soft would have been nice - we should have asked for them to be changed. Slightly grim main-road setting - so no views of the gorgeous surrounding countryside. Can't fault anything. nothing comes to mind,. Mattress was a bit hard. Nothing. Lugging suitcases up several flights of stairs. Access to the car park from the main road is a bit tricky if coming from Paington. Hotel forgot about our dinner booking and put us in the back room. There was nothing we didn't like, from the staff to the comfort of the bed and lovely thick towels in the bathroom. Limited check in times. Unable to check in between 2pm -5.30pm. Nothing to dislike. their was nothing I did not like. nothing, excellent night spent at Hotel. nothing. The location of the inn is on the main Brixham road and next to railway station but not noisy. Nothing. The items on the menu not always available. stairs. Small bathroom.5. We liked everything!. No lift so difficult for disabled. Nothing. price of the room. the fact we had to register for free wifi which inevitably results in spam on registered email etc so NO FREE WIFI here.
