I liked the hotel staff. Everyone was so accommodating and friendly. Most of all, the hotel is well situated and accessable to the downtown area and the shopping. Also, I found the breakfast service was very good and we were served very quickly. All in all.......a great time!!. Very friendly staff as well as very accomodating to any questions.Location. Everything, very friendly. Staff very Friendly. Excellent service. Friendly staff and good fun entertainment, clean rooms. Rooms made up very promptly every day. good staff clean room. the staff although they do seem overworked the hotel was very full with a party from Glasgow enjoyable company. friendly staff and good evening entertainment and car parking. Good friendly staff, room was clean and tidy, good value for money. Conveniently close to town centre, parking available. The helpfulness of the staff and the location over the sea was perfect.they changed me to a seaview room for no extra charge. Convenient reasonable quality hotel in Bridlington. Ability to come and go as one liked. room comfortuble breakfast very nice. Handy for Bridlington town centre. We had a sea view, the bed was comfortable, and the room was clean. The breakfast was good with a fair choice. Good size room and decor. sea view. Easy access from Railway Station, close to Town and beach Food excellent and well served.Excellent value for money.Good food.Nice room. Were it was based good access. Helpfull staff. The location was perfect in respect to the Spa. Convenient to Town. The location of the Monarch in Bridlington is excellent, with wonderful sea and/or town views. It is only about 10 minutes walk past the Spa to the harbour.Location. Nothing springs to mind.No internet acces from room. Unfortunately the lift was out of order and being very elderly the stairs were a problem. It was a weekend and not much the Hotel could do. No complaint. Lift was an experience!!!!. having to get up early, price a bit steep.televisions need updating. this is the third time we have stayed at the monarch whichwe booked in July the room we were given a non refurbushed room which was a bit disappointing after staying in other upgraded rooms. Not enough fruit/muesli/healthy options at breakfast. Car parking insufficient. squeeky bed. The shower was just a plastic hose attachment on the taps, which is not a very good way of providing a shower. However, I took a bath instead and the water was hot, so that was good. we were disappointed with the room as we thought it would be refurbished. Smell of cigarette smoke drifting under the door, p[robably from the next door room.Staff though friendly was down on numbers, same people doing reception, meals and bar. Rooms far too hot - unable to turn radiators down or off. Reception left unstaffed for long periods-very confusing on arrival and inconvenient at times. We were on the third floor, and the lift was out of action. This shouldhave been made clear when booking. evening meal menu not great. No shower! This should be standard these days. Coach party. The reception is unmanned in the evening because all available staff are in the restaurant on the 1st floor. Breakfast is an ordeal because of coach parties taking priority over independent guests. Meals are of disappointing quality. Very old fashioned, lift very poor, room facilities. The cooked breakfast was dry and not very nice. The shower in the room was very old fashioned and leaked when turning the taps on., which meant a very wet floor. Car parking wasn't brilliant. I think £240 for 3 nights bed and breakfast was far too expensive and certainly wouldn't pay it again. I expected much better quality facilities for this sort of money.
