The room was fitted out really well and to a high standard, e.g. a memory foam mattress and a really solid, classy bathroom with a super shower that pleased the American boyfriend who's always amazed at our piddly English offerings...in this case he got 2 shower heads at full force! From the moment we stepped in, the place was inviting. The check-in process was fast and easy as they were expecting us and I only needed to provide my first name...no annoying paperwork. The room was small, but clean, which is most important! We only stayed one night and spent most of time exploring Bath so the size of the room didn't hinder our comfort. Queen Charlottes Orangery is unique. It is like stepping into a fairy tale with its' beautiful furnishings and garden. We were made to feel extremely welcome by Greg who showed us to our room called Sofia which was absolutely delightful with a four poster bed and all the comforts one would expect from a four/five star hotel. A short walk to town, although walking up the hill (back from Bath) can be challenging if you have poor fitness. A cab from town only cost £6, which is a cheap alternative to walking up the hill.
Overall a wonderful stay and I would definitely stay at the Devonshire House again.

Lovely Georgian house which is a 20 minute walk into Bath benefiting from private parking and a beautiful garden. We stayed in the Indian room which was full of items collected in our hosts' travels. The breakfasts were superb enjoyed at a communal table with "proper" tea from silver teapots. A thoughtful touch was the Radio Times in each room if you had time to watch.T.V The Hollies proved to be in an ideal situation to visit Bath and the surrounding countryside
