We stayed 2 nights half board basis. Food was really lovely and staff were very helpful and polite. Rooms were really spacious and very clean with everything you need. The location was perfect for us as we stayed here to go to the zoo and it was only 5 mins away, also there is a beach about a 2 mins drive along the road from the hotel which was great as the weather was red hot! This hotel is excellent value for money and would defiantly stay here again.
alle beoordelingen » We are a couple in our early 40s and got a good deal at the last minute on letsbookhotel.com for 2 nights at the weekend. Lovely, clean, modern room & en-suite. Great English cooked breakfast. Located slightly off the beaten track in a quiet location nestled amongst fields, but within easy reach of the main road into Ulverston, Barrow and Dalton. Would definitely stop again and recommend it to everyone. The staff were excellent and very helpful. The food was of a good standard bith in the evening and at breakfast. The room was of a good size, clean and very quiet. Although it was obvious that there was a large amount of improvement work being carried out, this did not impact upon my stay at all. Thoroughly recommend the hotel. Parking was free and just outside reception.Check-in was painless and friendly. Room was large and clean if a bit hot; but hey! I can turn a radiator down. Bathroom was large, clean and hot (I like bathrooms hot!) Breakfast was huge and freshly cooked. Check-out equally painless Good stay. Very friendly staff went out of their way to accommodate when I arrived very late after a long journey from the north of Scotland which was appreciated, very comfortable bar area to relax, breakfast was great, large double room was ideal. This family run hotel is the perfect place to stay .the staff could not be more pleasant and helpful . The rooms are large , spacious and very clean and to top it all the food is excellent ( well done to the chef and kitchen staff ). Nice, quiet location out of town but close enough for easy access to town, beaches, Furness Abbey etc. Good sized, well appointed, clean rooms. Excellent breakfast and other meal facilities. Staff attentive and helpful. Lovely public areas. Room had lots of storage. Staff very helpful. And my dog was made very welcome. The welcome at the reception desk was wonderful..2 very young and polite gentlemen who scurried off to find Mum to assist me. Nice friendly staff and good food. The only problem we had was the sleeping arrangements for our 1 yr old. I had phoned to request a travel cot, when we arrived I had a single bed with a bed guard. I went to reception to ask for a travel cot instead and was told that they only have 2 and both were been used, also they only have 2 high chairs in the restaurant and there was at least 4 babies I seen when we stayed. We were going to try the driving range, but the literature gave the impression that it was only open during the summer months and we never saw anyone on it! As it was Bank Holiday Monday when we checked out we would have liked a slightly later breakfast until 10am or later rather than 9am. As stated aside from the imporvement works - there was nothing about this hotel that you could dislike. Could be a little difficult to find; don't take direct route as it's a Private Road. Nothing. Nothing to do with the hotel but Barrow is looking very depressed. Sad, really. Some outside work not quite finished but could see that, when finished, this would be a positive rather than a negative. A little noisy : (walls quite thin..I knew when my neighbours were preparing for bed) the car park is right outside the bedroom window and guests/staff come and go really late and really early. I don't think either of these could be changed sadly x. Nothing to dislike. there is nothing that we didn't like about this hotel. Aside from the delay in serving food - there is nothing to dislike about The Fairway. What I would say is that as your food seems to be cooked fresh to order and will obviously take time, then just tell your clients that and then your staff will not have to keep apologising for the wait. The hotel was difficult to find as it was hidden off the main road. I had difficulty finding it and others had difficulty finding their way back to the main road. Nothing... The kettle in our room had a strange smell of BO when it was used which was unpleasant. Room 17. Location obscure, not so convenient to Lakes District. nothing. No bath Hard bed. Hotel is a little remote, about 10 min drive to the nearest town. The reception staff, although friendly when approached, could be more attentive when guests are around; a simple "Good morning" would have been nice!. Strange restaurant eating times, having to wait an hour for a table despite it being practically empty. Nothing l didnt like. Noise from the next rooms ie could here the sink and shower system from our room. TV in room a bit on the small side. Wifi didn't work in my room. Waiting for food and young unexperienced staff. Breakfast staff were a little moody!. location. Nothing enjoyed stay here.
