  The staff were all excellent and extremely polite. I have stayed at far more expensive airport hotels and had much poorer service. The restaurant food was very good, but the chef needs to learn a little more about what medium and well done steaks are. They were both very undercooked.   I booked this hotel as my son was getting married and I needed a convenient base for the family. It worked out very well and the hotel staff were extremely helpful, friendly, pleasant and patient with us. You will be pushed to find a flat floor upstairs as the oak beams have bowed with time. Very nice staff and helpful, always most busy. Nice selection of meals, cooked correctly and serviced well.   Sad stay due to the fact i had just left my son at RAF Halton for his 9wks basic training - The hotel staff were all very friendly and efficient, and even though the kitchen was under going a major refit, the food was superb. The hotel and the grounds are very pleasent and relaxing
