Location - The hotel was very close to the Sultanahmet tourist area, with some gift shops, coffee shops and restaurants right next door.
The night manager (I think his name was Usman) was a good guide point to various areas and activities.
The hotel itself is rather small, just enough room to put your bags and walk to you bed, but it is what you pay for.

Nice breakfast at the terrace - though the terrace is in another hotel (5 min walk) which was weird.
Rooms are okay - middle level but clean.

What makes up for the shortcomings of the hotel is the really friendly, helpful and nice staff. For the price, you really can't complain. Location is excellent as it is VERY close to the Hippodrome so it's easy to take short rests or a nap when u r tired of walking. Yakamoz guesthouse is a very special place: the building is not big but furnishings is in perfect turkish style, and the atmosphere is really hospitable.
Our room, was very nice, everything was full of coulors and original.
In particular, the owner of the guesthouse is a very good person, he's lovely, nice and hearty.
The building is very close to the centre of istanbul, so close to blue mosque and santa sofia mosque and grand bazar.
I advise this guesthouse to everyone!
