We (mum, older brother and I) absolutely loved our stay at Nar Galata hotel. We stayed there for 17 days, so it truly became our home and it was a great hotel. A classic hotel, which I've used twice before, in 1995 & 2005, before its recent refurbishment. It's now three times the price, but the grandeur is no longer faded, it's now a true 5-star place. And I'm delighted to say that the refurb hasn't spoilt its character at all, as this is a hotel with more character and history than most! Staff were great, we got a room upgrade, and an extra hour extended checkout wasn't a problem. If we return to Istanbul, it'll be the Pera Palas for us!

Me and my husband had an absolutely fantastic treat from the time we got to the hotel to the time we took off again. The atmosphere was super nice, quiet and comfortable and we felt at home from the very 1st second we entered the door where Emir welcomed us. The wonderful hotel in the heart of ancient town. We lived in apartments - it was great. Good heated room, super friendly staff (more friendly than in 5 stars hotels!!!!. 3-4 min to shopping area and 4-5 min to good small buffets and stores. Excellent !!!
