  I stayed here 3 times during a months holiday in Thailand. The staff were always helpful, friendly and welcoming. They put me in the same room each time - I began to think of room 204 as my home in Bangkok! And they allowed me to check in at 4am when my bus arrived earlier than stated, and didn't charge me an extra night which is pretty decent. But located down a quiet side street so you can escape the noise of Bangkok - Korbua House is in a wonderful location off the main street and facing a canal. This made for a quiet and beautiful stay near a particularly busy section of town. If you want to stay in the old city part of Bangkok, I think Korbua is one of the best choices, and feels brand new in the decor and furnishings. Take the express boats along the river, and not as obvious, the Chao Phraya water taxi south east of the hotel, due east of the Democracy Monument. It's easier to get around the city from Ko

  My husband and I stay here for 2 nights. The service in this place was amazing, they threat us like a family. Give us great advices for transportation and places to go around Bangkok. They save our bags for a complete day even that we didn't have a booking that day. It was a 5 minute walk to an awesome night life. But far enough away where you didn't get the noise. Also the staff was super friendly. They got us a tuk tuk multiple times and negotiated the price. We were never able to get the same price on our own. Also breakfast was included and delicious.

We found booking hotels hard for our trip on reviews people are from a variety of countries, in a variety of age group and ultimately want different things from their stay. Excellent location, about 1km from the Royal palace, Wat Po and the main tourist areas. It's also a 10-minute walk from Khao San Road, the backpackers' mecca but - and this is a big bonus - Tara Place has none of the all-night party noise.
