  We very much enjoyed our six nights at the Art Hotel Stella in Lugano. It is an easy 5 minute walk from the Lugano train station, which is on a hill above the central old town district and Lake Lugano. A ten minute walk leads to the Parco Del Tassino with great views of the lake and the mountains that ring it. The hotel was very comfortable. Breakfast consisted of excellent coffee, freshly baked bread, and a reas - Small hotel with very good service and nice rooms. Central location near the railwaystation, but without disturbing noice. Side road with little traffic. Simple but tasteful breakfast. Only 5 min walk to the city center. Lovely nature around the city.

  A lovely family run hotel with great views of Lake Maggiore and the Alps. The owners and staff were very welcoming and helpful and it was easy to be understood in english if necessary.   We only stayed over for a night during over travels and found the hotel quite comfortable. The room was small with a tiny bathroom, but efficient for one night. The restaurant is brilliant – their home-made pasta delicious! The hotel was conveniently situated next to the station.
