  Hotel Bernina1865 is definitely the best hotel during our visit in Switzerland. My dad and I were planned to stay in St.Moritz; however, we found it too expensive to stay there. Instead, we choose Hotel Bernina1865 located in Samedan. This quiet and beautiful town was just 7 mins train away from St. Moritz. We are really appreciated for the gentleman's - The family receptionists! When we arrived dogged tired at 10pm, we were greeted warmly by the elder of the Stamatakis brothers and shown to our nice, comfortable and warm looking room. We were very surprised by the gesture because this is the first time happening for us since we are in a budget tour. The hotel is modern looking yet retain the feel of the past.   Loved just about everything. The location is amazing. The apartments are beautifully furnished with high-quality fittings. The view from the balcony, of the mountains, was breath-taking! And the sauna/wellness room... that was a real treat. - The hotel located in the mountains with beautiful view and the staff was very kind and helpful.

  The rooms were spacious and comfortable with heated bathroom floors which is nice on a chilly (-17) night. The breakfast buffet was extensive with a la carte eggs any style also available. The staff were all extremely helpful and friendly with everything. The hotel is close to shops and restaurants in the main part of town and right on the bus sto... wat mensen zeggen » p which will take you to one of the smaller ski areas. The main train station is 5-10 min walk away and from here it is about half hour into larger t - From the moment we walked in and were welcomed by Sofia after a disastrous journey (which was made better by the complimentary Prosecco) we knew this was a fantastic hotel. It's in a perfect location just 5 minutes walk from the main Gotschnabahn lift. The staff are incredibly friendly and helpful, the room was large, clean and felt like a ski chalet in itself. The bar is spacious and stylish, and the breakfast service was everything you could ask for. We only wished we were staying longer!

  Looking at my previous reviews there is nothing else to add actually, everything was fine. I really like the breakfast in this hotel and I am always pleased to see the "breakfast lady", she is very nice and sweet.   This is a fabulous property. Since it was our 25th anniversary the manager Remo Loher upgraded us to a one bedroom apartment which was beautifully equipped and picked us up at the train station. The facility is fabulous and the town is by far my favorite in Switzerland.
