  Suzanne, the owner, was always there to offer information or help you. The breakfast is wonderful. Typical with meats, cheeses, cereal, yogurt, breads, fresh cut fruit, etc. I believe some items are bio, and that's a plus. I know the burcher muesli is bio and it's delicious. That was what I ate each morning. You can make your own espresso, latte, ... wat mensen zeggen » etc. and there is a good selection of tea. - I really enjoied my stay at Garni Hostatt. Nice and polite staff, cleanbedroom, good location (just 15 mins to the village by walk or 5 mins byfree bus, only 5 mins to the closest ski station), delicious breakfastand the owner drove us (lift) to Engelberg train station when we leftthe hotel. The owner gave us very good tips about the village, whereeat, have fun, rent ski equipament, etc.

  The best aspect of this hotel is that it is about 5 minutes walk to the gondola or a little more to the train station. It has an area for your skis and a warm room for your ski boots. The staff was very nice and the dinner we had there was very tastey. Breakfast was the usual European fair. It is about a 10 minute walk into town along a quiet path... wat mensen zeggen » . The beds are comfortable. - Excellent service, friendly staff and great food. Our stay at the hotel really was the icing on the cake for the entire stay in Engelberg! I've been going to different places in the alpes for six consecutive years now and this is by far the best hotel I've stayed at (regardless of number of stars)!

  Warm, friendly, and generous staff/owners. Terrific location near town center, and walking distance to the gondola (or on the local bus route if you don't want to walk). Clean and well maintained sauna area. Fantastic views of the mountains.   Warm, comfortable, spacious interiors and rooms throughout the building. Wide stairways, large lifts - the library area with coffee machine and lounge room would serve well in winter time. HIgh quality fitted rooms and bathrooms - ours had an amazing balcony terrace overlooking the mountains. The fridge in room was a plus but no tea or coffee in... wat mensen zeggen » room. The bed & bed linen (doonas / pillows) so comfortable. Friendly greetings everyday from staff. Hot breakfast was plentiful and served in ar - Rooms amazingly large, comfortable beds and linen, laundry facilities fantastic, great location with alps directly opposite the hotel. Food excellent, staff excellent. Waiter spoke 5 languages fluently and was extremely courteous and helpful. Owner Manager extremely friendly and helpful too. Parking easy, close to Mt Titlis and cable cars. Lifts a plus and huge balconies overlooking the mountains. Would highly recommend it.

  Hotel Edelweiss was fantastic. We were met at the train station by Suzanne, owner, and taken to the hotel. All the staff were friendly and very happy people. Peter, owner, Monika & Tanja were always willing to help and always ready for a chat. Peter introduced us to the town and welcomed us personally to the hotel with free pre-dinner drin... wat mensen zeggen » ks. They always made us welcome. The hotel is set in the valley between magnificient mountain views. The town is quiet and calming. So much to do - If in Engelberg, I would recommend this hotel to everyone. It's not only for the warmth shown by the owners (Kuhn family), its a kids friendly hotel. It is less than 10 mins walk from the station, but with luggage it is not possible to walk (steep roads).... the staff is ever ready to escort to / from the station in their vans (they just need to be informed). A nice view from the balconies + the church bell sound every hour, gives a superb feeling............
