Wat mensen zeggen
It has a perfect location in the city center within a walking distance to many sights. Also when looking out of the window you are greeted with a wonderful view of peaceful waters of the Malaren Lake and beautiful buildings along the shore. You can clearly see the famous Town Hall and National Museum from there too. The staff is very friendly and really helpful, plus the language barrier is almost non-existent as everyone in Stockholm speaks good English. The furnishing and design of the hotel . alle beoordelingen »
What could be more romantic than a suite overlooking the harbor and the Swedish palaces?
Comfortable bed and pillows, ome stop from central train station, great to check in and spend a day in Gamla Stockholm (the remarkable Old City). Staff courteous and helpful. Breakfast informal, relaxed. Hostel area is quiet before midnight, there's free wi-fi in the dining room, and the ambiance is unforgettable.I saw every single piece of bedding rolled up and removed and replaced with fresh bedding in t.
The breakfast was lovely, I would definitely recommend this & the Staff were very helpful. The location was great, just a short walk from the centre of Stockholm - definitely keep an eye out for the subway so that you can walk under the trainline rather than around (I didn't realise this until the last day!) I would absolutely recommend this hotel to others, we chose to stay in the Hostel section to keeps costs down however it was comfortable enough for the purpose & the main boat is .
It was quite an experience to stay in a real boat.
Södermalm, Gamla Stan and Slussen subway station was only a walking distance away.
Staff was very helpful.
Breakfast buffet wasn't included in the price but still a good value for the money.
And everyone I met in Stockholm was like "WOW" when I said I was staying in a boat!.
great position - easy to reach undergroud station.
Great and unusual view on the Stockholm house and see
staff very helpfull, kind approach also helping for taxi reservation! they also opened the breakfast time in advance to the usual time slot (7.30-9.30).
Stayed in a double ensuite room overlooking the marina and the Stockholm skyline, was pleasantly surprised at the spacious room, well decorated. Location was perfect!.
Very different. Great sleeping on the "Captains Cabin" for someone who likes boats is a nice experience. Breakfast was good for a hostel/hotel.
Good facilities.
Very clean and quaint boat. So cute and unique. Staff was very friendly and kind. Comfortable logging.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff
Good location for sightseeing
Being on the water
Good breakfast.
i suppose its a bit different sleeping on a boat plus the view in the morning was so beautiful.
it is a wonderful and unforgettable experience to stay in a hotel on a boat. Superb.
charming red wooden boat....well ecorateed, comforatable and a unique place to stay.
It was nice and a different experience to an ordinary hotel.
friendly staff, pleasant environment, interest idea design.
Staff was friendly and helpful, beds were comfortable.
Near the city, and not expensive...
Fantastic location unconventional.
Perfect stay to explore the city.
The atmosphere and location.
the reception area is super.
- location
- style
- prise.
Nice and friendly staff.
Nice hotel.
I had a great view of both SoderMalm and Gamla Stan from the windows of
my hotel room on the Boat "Ran". A fairly easy 10 minute walk
to the subway. Clean, decent breakfast, close to the center. I found the
small room and bed quite comfortable for a 5 night stay.
It's a boat! In the city centre! We had a small window with a beautiful view to the City Hall. Interiors are great, lounge zones are comfortable and there's also a terrace.
Good location for a city break. In walking distance to the old town and metro stops.
Really like the experience of sleeping in a boat. It was more calm then I expected.
Idea off spending the night on a boat..
Was really great.
location was a plus - very close to the city centre.
Friendliness and clear rules.
- It's interesting to stay on a boat.
- There is a hill (mountain) nearby where you can climb on and have a nice view of city.
It was interesting to experience something new
Boat is very exotic and nicely decorated inside
The atmosphere is very good.
Uniqueness of staying on a boat, location was good.
well, as I stayed in a hostel I actually knew what to expect. When staying there you should be prepared to share your room with several other people (depending on type of room booked of course) which means bearing with possible noise, your roommates getting in and out of the room in the middle of the night and bathroom and showers being in the hall. It can also be cold in halls in winter time, so remember to bring warm clothes with you.
Not for handicapped. No TV in rooms. Looks a bit old and dingy from outside, but the charm of the Red Boat and its companion should overcome first impressions quickly. Menu for dinner is limited: go to Old Town, nearby, instead. Not for small children.
We stayed in the Hostel section so the facilities were a little more sparing, such as not providing towels in the shared bathroom/shower room. This said the Staff were happy to provide towels upon request. I did find the rooms a little cold too as the radiator was very small compared to the size of the room. Being on a boat meant that the lower cabins did have cold walls so maybe thicker blankets can alleviate this issue.
The room with 4 people was a little bit small to store luggage, hang coats, towels etc.
The power outlet was far away from the bed.
The rooms was a little bit chilly on my last night.
Definetly not a party hostel, bar was quite all the time (but maybe it's a good thing for you).
room shower is very very very small!.
No TV on the room.
I did not know I had to bring my own towel (for hostel) but they were nice enough to give me one.
Creaky noises at night from the moorings
Loud noises in day from nearby construction project
Awful stairway to cabin on lower deck.
finding the proper entrance to the metro when we were leaving as it makes it much shorter and easier.
the breakfast lacks variety.
somewhat out of way if walking.backpacking or hauling too much luggage.
THe internet didn't work very good ...
beer price it really cosmos expensive.
close to a busy road and pedestrian crossing; somewhat noisy.
Small for a trip lating more than 4 days...
Little bit to cold.
When we arrived very late, we still had to make up the bed... Tired and still no bed ready...
Cold coffee....
- our windows looked out to the shore and in the room we could hear the creaking gangplank.
No internet in rooms.
There are 2 boats, and only the Red Boat has Wifi for internet. The boat
Ran is like an annex, without a cozy lounge so I was often traipsing
back and forth between the 2 boats. It was slightly too much money for
the value given.
No electrical sockets in the room! Very inconvenient. You have to go to the common area to charge your batteries.
No towels included.
No kitchen.
A bit tiny boat and a room itself, but for us it was ok.
Cabin room a lot smaller than expected with very thin mattresses. Fine for a couple of days stay. Lots of graffiti under the top bunks; entertaining if nothing else.
Sometimes the boat inside and the rooms were a bit smelly.
No ironing facilities or cooking facilities.
For that price normally I would expect towels and a hair dryer to be available for guests.
Bit dusty.
Bad air in the room.
- Room is very small, even no place if person wants to go in when someone is packing/unpacking their things. I got a 4-bed dorm but space seems like for a single person.
- No air conditioner and no window, which means very very hot in the night.
- Only 1 small shower just fit for you, so your stuffs are outside, you should take this into account.
- Room is smelly and no fresh air.
- It will take about 15-20 mins to walk to closest subway station.
surprisingly breakfast wasn't included into booking price.
Had to pay for towels (though this isn't mentioned anywhere on their site), wifi only works from the red boat and not in our rooms.
