  Fantastic location! Next door to Royal Palace, plus Gamla Stan is sightseeing object itself, so you can easily kill a day or half-a-day just wandering there. It is a budget accommodation of course, but it perfectly satisfies your basic needs - rooms are clean and comfortable, showers are decent, well equipped kitchens and nice light breakfast. Guests of all types make a really fun mixture, hostel is busy but not too noisy. - The atmosphere was really calm and friendly, informal yet absolutely non-intruding, creating instant "at-home" feeling. I had a single room with an openable window facing a narrow old town street and one of the walls revealing historic building bricks. Cozy and simple.   I loved the ambiance of staying on the boat. the bar on the top gave great views and breakfast was very good. Also the reading room was quite nice .The location was wonderful. Walkable to alot of Stockholm and we could jump on at 3 different train stations within 10 minute walk. Also the staff was excellent. Location is perfect to explore the city. We tried the standard twin-Hostel cabin: small as expected (it's a boat!) but still very comfortable and very clean.   Great location, very close to the subway , one stop to the central station. Friendly staff, very nice breakfast, no time limitation, just have it whenever you wake up. Friendly and helpful staff.   I appreciated verything ! I didn't try the shared bathroom but only the toilets since I slept my two first nights (3 nights in total) in a double-bed room, but absolutely everything was wonderful : - comfortable quite big beds with strong woody frames (no noise) - easy key system with card or magnetic "plastic coin" - big case for valuable belongi... wat mensen zeggen » ngs in the "multiple beds bedroom" - everything was modern : bathrooms, doors, furniture, kitchen, ... - big kitchen with lots of utensils for cookin - The kitchen is a very nice addition to the stay at Skanstulls. Since food is so expensive in Stockholm, the kitchen gives a nice break to buy food and cook it. There are 2 grocery stores across the street too, In the hostel is a lot of tourist info which was really nice. I had a late check in that I forgot to mention and I almost wasn't able to get into the hostel. I caught the staff member at the last minute as she was leaving and she was so kind about my mistake. She was a very helpful girl
