  It would be difficult to find a more charming place to stay in the heart of the Rioja wine country. A wonderful atmosphere in a building dating from the 1700's, beautifully decorated and filled with lovely furniture. Large tasteful rooms, modern bathrooms, exposed stone work and beams throughout.The very welcoming hostess could not have been more... wat mensen zeggen » helpful including aiding with language , local sites and even suggesting and booking restaurants! I First class all round ! - Beautiful building, well decorated with fantastic beds and quality bedding. Best night's sleep so far in Spain! Great location for all attractions and Bodegas. Not a pretty town, but ideally located for the heart of La Rioja region. Fantastic owners who were very knowledgable and generous with their time. I have put this little hotel into my sat- nav memory!

  Well, what a little gem Hotel Rural Casa Marisa is! Set in the heart of the Rioja Countryside this hostelry is a lovely oasis of modern practicability. The rooms are modern and spacious with good beds and shower facilities. Good high-speed WiFi internet connection throughout the establishment.   Situated in excellent location for visiting northern Rioja on the edge of a small working village. Easy free parking. The room and bathroom were generously sized and were very light, clean, quiet and comfortable with stunning views from the french windows over the vineyards and mountains beyond. Jose Louis, the owner, is a discreet and thoughtful ... wat mensen zeggen » host. He takes great pride in the running of the hotel which is named for his grandmother, "La Chana". He has a wealth of knowledge about the sourroun - Small period building with plenty of charm situated on the edge of the village with wonderful views over the vineyards. Comfortable and clean. Owner very charming and helpful, though beware latest check-in time is 2000hrs. We were late arriving from Santander and the ferry, but the owner had waited for us. If you arrive after he has left, there is a number to ring on a notice attached to the main door. There is no restaurant, but the owner recommended a reasonable establishment in the town
