  Having stayed before,i was familiar with the barcarola,but was surprised there was no air conditioning and pool was very cold.i asked at reception about the pool but told it was due to the wind that it was cold.the first week it was too cold to use pool. perhaps when weather is breezy and cool it may be the time to heat it to a comfortable level. ... wat mensen zeggen » the pool was not used at any level the first week until late in the day.I - who love the pool only used it twice in the first week and three in second - The location was excellent, we could not have had better. The grounds of the complex and pool area was very well kept and a nice environment to be in. The apartment was very comfortable, very clean with an excellent view of the sea. Overall the perfect place to stay.

  Fantastic, relaxing place. How wonderful to open your patio doors to the view of the sea. The Bungalows are exceptionally clean, all the staff are great, very helpful and friendly. The bungalows are in an ideal location.   Ideal location -- away from tourist cohorts, very near beautiful beach in national reserve, on pedestrian path making you forget cars, beautiful view on islands, very quiet. Relatively small-sized hotel (max 3 floors per building), family athmosphere. Beautiful (heated) pool. Friendly personnel. Reasonably good food, selection renewed every day.   I liked very much the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, in particular the male manager (can't remember his name) and Nicola who helped me when I need to find medical help at short notice.   We stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment. It was very comfortable and very clean, with a fully equipped kitchen. Sheets/towels were changed every other day. A bottle of wine was given to us, as a welcome gift and also fresh bread rolls were delivered every morning. The staff were very helpful and friendly. Within easy reach of shops, restaurants and the... wat mensen zeggen » beach. We stayed on a half board basis and the food served in the restaurant was good. One of the nicest places we've stayed at. Will definitely book - The staff was very friendly and welcoming. Every member that you passed on a daily basis always had a smile and said hello. The receptionists were friendly and helpful. A nice bottle of red wine was waiting for me in my room as a welcome gift and every morning, a fresh bread roll would be left in a plastic bag hanging on my door. It is the little touches that make a difference. The kitchen was well stocked with pots and pans, cutlery and plates and glasses.

  What a gem this place is! From the minute we arrived, we felt as though we were the only people who mattered. Dany and Joaquim who manage the reception made us very welcome. We were told the complex was fully occupied, but we saw only a few other guests and other then by the pool we heard no voices. The bungalow had everything we needed for self-catering and even though we planned to eat out, we used the local - The best accomodation (for leisure) I've ever had. Location: excellent if you're interested in relax and peaceful atmosphere, close to unique Papagayo beaches (15 min. walk) and ordinary Coloradamar beach for those lazy ones (2-3 min. walk) :). Two supermarkets are nearby (Roper: 2-3 min.walk, HyperDino:5-7 min.walk). Bus stop is right in front of reception. If you travel with children, the playground is 2 min.walk.   Lovely refurbished apartment overlooking childrens pool. Very friendly & efficient staff especially Mercedes in reception, the lady running the Pool Bar, and the man organising breakfast.   Apartment size room with separate living room and with exceptional views. Went halfboard and food was fantastic -numerous selection to choose from for both breakfast and dinner. Nice warm indoor pool. We paid 103 euros for two people /night during half term for half board and found this was exceptional value. The beds were amazing and had many great night sleeps. We also got upgraded to suites which was fantastic with nice views of the beach. The spa was also very much enjoyable. Linda in reception was fantastic and very helpful. Shame she wasn't around when we left. Excellent member of staff.
