  Just got back and everything about this place is as good as earlier reviews say it is. I was tempted not to add comments so I could keep this gem to myself. We were staying B/B so cannot comment on the evening meal but the breakfast was excellent, with choice galore & as much (or little) as you wish from fresh fruit, cooked and continental br... wat mensen zeggen » eakfasts, omelettes etc. The hotel staff & their service is great throughout from the front desk, bar-staff to the nice ladies who clean the rooms - The staff are excellent: professional and competent whilst also friendly and good humoured. The Hotel Illa d'Or has a magnificent setting, with wonderful views both of sea and mountains; and located in a quiet spot towards the end of the Pine Walk, which makes a lovely short promenade to the centre.   Everything. The staff are amazingly friendly and efficient. The hotel is clean, very comfortable, well equipped and in a great location. One of, if not the best hotel I have ever stayed in in Spain and the islands. The staff at reception, breakfast and room service were very kind and attentive. Highly recommended! - A small and friendly hotel in a fantastic location - breakfast right next to the beach on Pine Walk is just perfect. It's worth booking a room with balcony at the front. Port de Pollensa is a great base to explore the north and east sides of Majorca.
