  the location of the hotel was excellent. It was in a street which was almost in the middle of the La Rambla. The hotel was clean enough and safe because they were not letting everybody to enter to the hotel you have to ring the bell to enter day and night. The Liceu metro station was 3 minutes far from the hotel. They have recommended a restaurant... wat mensen zeggen » named Salamanca but we didnt like it. - Hesperia is a great hotel to stay in if you want to fall out of bed into the bustle of Barcelona life. It is perfectly located for the fabulous Bouqueria Market, shopping, tapas and bars. The rooms are bright, modern, spacious, comfortable, and the staff were great. I would happily stay there again and recommend it to all. Great value for money

It could be noisy in the evenings and it has, hands-down, the world's tiniest elevator. Great water pressure in the shower, free wi-fi both big pluses. Our room was really modern and exceptionally clean with a balcony overlooking las ramblas. Excellent value for money, especially as we got one large room for four of us. Raj on reception was so friendly and helpful, and went out of his way to make our stay enjoyable. I will definitely be staying again!

They allowed us to store our luggage in lockers in the building next door free of charge on our last day in Barcelona. - Location, Location, Location. Bcn House apartments are seconds away from the centre of la Rambla, minutes away from the metro, cathederal, market, numerous museums. The beach and harbour were just a stroll away. Do try the Bengal Spicey indian restaurant in the next street up (Carrier de Sant Pau) Also recommended is the Cellar de Tapas on passeig de Joan de borbo (as you head to the beach from barceloneta metro station)

  The hotel had a lot of charm. It was clean (clean towels daily and beds changed during a 5 night stay), a great shower with plenty of very hot water, comfy beds and heating! The staff were friendly and very helpful. Although quite basic the breakfasts were fresh and plentiful. The position of the hotel just off La Rambla was superb. It's a great hotel for a group of friends on a short break - The location was brilliant! - just off La Ramblas, 2 minutes walk from the metro and 3 minutes walk from a Carrefour supermarket. Our room was simple but comfortable enough for our needs. We were particularly pleased to have a room on the fifth floor - it meant that our room was very quiet. We couldn't hear the street noise at all, which meant that after a day surrounded by the buzz of the city, our room was a good place to relax, switch off from the noise, and sleep!
