Very friendly and helpful staff who spoke very good English and put themselves out to help in any way they could. Tea and coffee facilities were excellent even though not located in individual rooms, with complementary fresh milk and bottled watered. Air conditioning. We stayed in one of the penthouse apartments with my elderly parents and two children. The location was superb, a few blocks from the Passeig de Gracia, many local restaurants nearby as well as stores and a very cool local market/grocery store. When we arrived we were given an in/out pass for a nearby underground parking lot (45E for 4 days approx.) The hostal is a very nice apartment (or two joint apartments) on the 3rd floor of a beautiful modernist house, with these old-style elements like shutters, tiled floor, wicker sofa, and separate taps for cold and hot water, and our room had a beautiful little balcony with forged railings.

The entire hostal has great design features and the owners knew what vintage furniture pieces to ad in order to preserve its wonderful architecture. I especially loved the strained-glass windows and the original tiles in all rooms. My room was spaceous, with a great street view from the small balcony. The location is perfect: 5 minutes walk to Paseig de Gracia and another 5 minutes to Placa de Catalunya (also, metro stations and bus stations are very close). The owners are really nice and ready

Location was fantastic and we were parents traveling with adult children. Very spacious with a lovely decor and ambience. Well appointed with full kitchen and laundry facilities plus en suites for both bedrooms. After a full day out it was lovely to come back to such comfort and spend the evening in. Terrific location for first visit to Barcelona - walked everywhere. Excellent building with elevator. Kitchen open all day for easy access to refrig, coffee, etc. -
I loved the fact that the breakfast was laid out in a kitchen that was open to all guests all day. It made it feel as though you were staying in a home.
