wouldn't swith Fornos for another hotel. The interior of the room
is a bit old, looks like from the 80's or so but who cares as
long as you are in the middle of the action. The receptionists are
cool, kind and fun.

It was amazing, great view, awesome room (two balconies at a room of three beds), a nice and warm welcoming, situated in a very good location, very accessible from all points of view. We loved it, we recommend it and we are looking forward to return.

The staff members went beyond the call of duty on more than one occasion to accommodate us and make our stay as pleasant as possible. Facilities are basic however for the money you would be hard pushed to find somewhere as good as this place. The Hostal is run by extreamly polite Indian gents and is in a perfect location for a city visit (only yards from the Ramblas). I saw reviews criticizing the wi-fi but I had a strong connection all holiday. We stayed in a double en-suite room and although basic, it was immaculatly clean, with beds made up each day and clean towels every 2 days. The bed was extreamly comfortable and there was always plenty of hot water in the shower. Great place to stay if you want a cheap holiday. ps. felt ver

Wij zijn erg te spreken over de hulpvaardigheid van het (goed engels sprekende) personeel. Om geen last te hebben van eventuele straatgeluiden, hadden we om een kamer gevraagd op een hogere verdieping en aan de achterzijde van het hotel. I was staying for 3 noghts, and asked to not be woken up in the morning by the cleaner. I had my privacy, and got new towels every day while I was out. The staff at the reception was really friendly and polite! Very pationet when I asked for directiones:) I also like where the hotel is situated. Thanks for a good stay. I will be back!:) -

That place so close to Casa Batillo, my room was so small, but
comfortable and clean. Service was super polite, speak many languages, I
can speak with them english, spanish and even russian. Big thanks to a
girl in reception Katya. Super polite, super kind, told me where to go,
what to visit at that time and really is so so nice person. I can
imagine who is the boss of hotel if they have such a wonderful staff!

This place is amazing. Our room was very clean and functional. It is close to the downtown. Also extremely convenient that La Isla Hostal is a couple of blocks from Estacio Nord (bus station) and Estacio de França (railway station). Friendly and helpful stuff. In my opinion, it is an ideal choice for budget-minded travelers.
