The staff members went beyond the call of duty on more than one occasion to accommodate us and make our stay as pleasant as possible. Facilities are basic however for the money you would be hard pushed to find somewhere as good as this place. Also taking the location into consideration, I don't believe more facilities would benefit the hostal much

The Hostal is run by extreamly polite Indian gents and is in a perfect location for a city visit (only yards from the Ramblas). I saw reviews criticizing the wi-fi but I had a strong connection all holiday. We stayed in a double en-suite room and although basic, it was immaculatly clean, with beds made up each day and clean towels every 2 days. The bed was extreamly comfortable and there was always plenty of hot water in the shower. Great place to stay if you want a cheap holiday. ps. felt ver

Lucho is very friendly and welcomin person, but he also gave us space and waited for us to come to speak to him rather than the other way around. Hostel was clean and situation perfect, not in a bad area at all. You can watch the police men walk under your balcony in a quite busy street :) I will definitely stay here also the next time I´m in Barcelona!

We had some problem the first night: they booked a room for us in another hotel 'cause we were in sort of overbooking. But from the second day the stay was great. Location of the hotel is excellent. Close to a metro station and in the middle of Las Ramblas and El Borne. In winter, el borne is a better place to be close rather than since la rambla. The staff has made really nice improvements and facilities in the hotel, that's nice. But some of the stuff like towels and sheets are really too old.

Central location is perfect for walking all over town. It is right by
Placa Catalyna where the buses from the airport arrive and metro station
as well as trains out of Barca. Our second stay we were given room 202
which is a double with on-suite bath and a balcony onto main street.
People watching was great fun. Lots of flags hanging from balcony.

Abraham day staff was so lovely, very jolly and helpful. It is a bit
dilapidated but I didn't mind that. If you want uber posh it's
not for you. -
The staff was generally friendly/helpful. The Day staff are more
english helpful/friendly, the night staff generally doesn't know
anything other than Spanish & a lot stricter, but was the same at
all my friends hostels anyways. Good price & great location. Was
very quiet as needed too.

We stayed in the huge attic apartment on the 7th floor of a fantastic old building. The location is central for sightseeing, shopping and eating. Location. The apartments are situated next to Plaça de Catalunya - your city hub. Metro stop is right below and you'll are next to very nice El Born and Barrio Gotico areas. Las Ramblas street is not far too.
Our apartment and bathroom were nice and clean and the kitchen was good too.
We were welcomed by Virginia and all here advices for our 3-day visit were great.

Located literally in the middle of El Gotic: few steps from the Cathedral, Placa Catalunya, and Placa Jaume. Friendly owner, spacious rooms. Even lack of elevator doesn't make it less convenient. I will certainly stay there again. -
