  Albert and Tersia, ( the owners ), were fantastic in their ability to make you feel at ease and comfortable after a long journey. The guest house is superbly clean, the rooms are extremely well kept & the staff are friendly and polite. Breakfast is as much as you want and very good. The penthouse, The Neptune Room, has its own private balcony on the roof and with its new bathroom makes a sta - From the minute we walked in we were on cloud 9. The people are amazing the villa is amazing the setting is out of this world. It is a stunning place to have a relaxed time. We were served breakfast in bed...amazing stuff. Will go back there again soon.

  The backpack was a really comfortable and welcoming place to stay. The common areas were laid back & relaxed and the place was very clean. Location was great & just a short walk from the top of Long Street and some good restaurants. Waterfront was a decent walk or a fairly quick taxi ride. Compared to some friends who were staying at numerous backpackers in and around Long Street, this sounded superior & I would definitel - It was my second time at this hostel and I came back three years later because I liked it. Apart from it being excellent for what is officially a backpackers place I really appreciate the attitude of owners and staff who are supporting community projects and take recycling seriously, something that is still not very wide spread in South Africa. Excellent Sandwiches and breakfast.

  As there were no other bookings in the main house Elisabeth the owner upgraded us to one of the better rooms upstairs and we had the whole house to ourselves. The house is beautifully decorated and great for a group as its self catering. The food was of a very high standard especially Breakfast - one of the best we have ever had and we have travelled a lot. Gastvrouw is uiters vriendleijk en behulpzaam. - I was totally blown away by the personal attention shown by Maggie in making sure my stay was hassle free and enjoyable. The accommodation, facilities and location of the unit was incredible and in saying that it is not often the case where what is shown ... wat mensen zeggen » on a website does no justice to what is actually experienced. No doubt I will be returning and placing Maggie's spot on my priority list be it for business or leisure. - Due to a unforseen circumstances we had to change our holiday plans very last-minute. We booked Vrede and arrived only hours later. We couldn't have picked a better place! The appartment is, as the name says, Deluxe, the view is spectacular and Maggie and her team are nothing but very very kind, helpfull and understanding. Despite our circumstances, Vrede 62 made the best of our week. Thanks again Maggie & William!
