  ALLES was absoluut fantasties. Dis 'n oase waar jy vrede vind in die natuur. Die personeel is vriendelik en gasvry. My battery is sommer weer gelaai vir 2014 nadat ek 3 nagte in 'n chalet oorgebly het. Alles VYFSTER!

This 17-key hotel is definitely worth a visit if you want service, personal - The complimentary wifi and mini bar, which was replenished daily, are a very nice touch and something that hardly any boutique hotel of this size offers. Our room was lovely, spacious, clean and luxurious and with a great view of the ocean. Everyone was extremely friendly and helpful and that just made it an even nicer place to stay. Will definitely be returning.

  We couldn't have asked for a better stay while in Stellenbosch. The rooms were spacious, clean, and had beautiful views of the vinyards and the Stellenbosch montains. Sometimes in the morning a light mist would roll over the mountains-- a view that's hard to beat. The hotel staff was AMAZING. They came to clean the room in the morning and did a wo... wat mensen zeggen » nderful turn down service in the evening (you get a delicious caramel!). I also lost my phone on a bus to a safari. It was lost for 3 days and I had n - I could not have picked a better hotel in which to celebrate my husband's 30th birthday. Although I made my booking the night before our arrival, the staff at Asara went above and beyond to make our stay special, even having a delicious cake and champagne ready in our room much to my husband's delight (and I didn't even request this!). Breakfast the next morning was perfect and the setting in which we found ourselves helped us relax and enjoy our little escape to its fullest.

  Werkelijk op alle fronten een prima hotel! Maar dat mag ook wel want het is volgens Zuid Afrikaanse normen een zeer prijzig hotel. Maar zowel, kamer, restaurant, personeel, etc. was perfect in orde. - Due to the off season period it was very quite. A bit artificial but a beautiful place to be. Staff is very friendly and helpful.   The view from the pool deck was just fabulous. Sugarbird was cosy but I would imagine nice in the heat of summer too. The fire place was lovely as was the open communal area. I loved the inner courtyard and interior design of the refurbished house, very nicely done. The guesthouse offers superb views over the whole Devon Valley , rooms are very nicely decorated, staff is friendly and helpful...If you would like to enjoy the nature and quietness on the wine route , this is an excellent place to go to !

  I travelled with my 80-something mom-in-law and we loved every moment in the graceful surroundings. This hotel has been transformed by the current owners and it is outstanding value for money. - The friendly ambience of the hotel. The rooms are well appointed and beautifully decorated. The staff were excellent and seemed to enjoy working there.

  We liked the friendliness of the staff. We stayed the first two days and the last two days of our trip to South Africa and we were upgraded to a suite which was very much appreciated...we had stayed in the hotel five years ago and it was exactly as I remembered it and we will definitely be staying there on our return visit////breakfasts were also ... wat mensen zeggen » super...it should be noted that we travelled with another couple ...mc gettigans...and this review is for all of us - The staff were friendly, polite and very helpful, always smiling, and solicitous without being in your face. Breakfast was plentiful, lots of choices and value for money; use of the business centre at no extra cost was a godsend - see wi-fi The entrance/lobby very spacious and felt homely. I would definitely stay at the Portswood again
