  We loved staying in the rondavels! The whole setting of the property is very pretty. We wished we could have stayed for more than one night! The gentleman who owns the property is very nice - I left something behind accidentally and he even mailed it back to me. The restaurant next door is FANTASTIC too. If we are ever in Addo again, we will defin... wat mensen zeggen » itely be returning. - Rather fun staying in the thatched round cottages, and they had everything you could need including en-suite shower and electrics of course. We were self catering and there is a very well equipped kitchen in the main house together with lounge area and plenty of seating. Very good restaurant adjacent, too. Really helpful and friendly landlord.

  Breakfast was excellent! Host was welcoming and very helpful. Rooms were clean - bathrooms large and airy. Good location just off the main road and village within walking distance. - Everything was ok about the place. It was a bit lacking in atmosphere but nevertheless did the job. Storms River Mouth was stunning.

  We loved this guest house. The accommodation is very clean and stylishly decorated and has everything you would need. Kettle tea and coffee, TV, Fan, hairdryer. The breakfasts were very good and the hosts were friendly and able to recommend local places of interest to visit.   wonderful views, you don't even have to get up from your bed to see the sunrise! the sound of the sea is equally amazing. friendly staff (we received a complimentary upgrade to a larger apartment) great value for money - A beautiful spot right on the beach. Rooms are clean and of high standard. We will be back for a longer stay next time.

  What other reviewer say and Brian and family is true. They treat you like old friends from the moment you walk in the door. Nothing is too much trouble and they have a great knowledge of the local area. I arrived after an 8 hour drive from Bloemfontein at 1030pm and I was greeted with a meal and a cold beer. I do not even get that level of service... wat mensen zeggen » in a five star hotel! They were happy to arrange activities, give advice etc. Nice and quiet - I always got a good nights sleep. Definitely stay here - Jenny, Brian and Andrew were absolutely wonderful hosts in this family-run field experience. Just marvellous. It's a pity we had just 2 nights with them. The location is excellent for access to the surrounding area, which is full of fascinating phenomena.

  Warm welcome. Customer service was exceptionally good - nothing was too much trouble. Rooms were extremely comfortable with great sea views and well-equipped. A home from home. - The room and staff/manager were warm and welcoming. The location on the beach was excellent. In all it was a very pleasant stay.

  The staff at the Fernery were so friendly and helpful. The attention to detail and care that went into the evening meal (a prepared barbeque) was amazing and we felt really spoiled. I'd highly recommend the Fernery but would suggest a stay longer than we had (only one night unfortunately) as there is so much to experience. It's a bit pricey but... wat mensen zeggen » converting to UK pounds for example, it is really, really worth it. Also the Boxer dog belonging to the owners' son is the most gorgeous dog I've eve - My wife and i stayed in a B&B Chalet for 3 magnificent nights. This place is off the charts with total freedom & tranquility - only wish it would never have ended. We will return to this beautifull haven in the near future ..........

  Het hele complex is prachtig in Balinese en Afrikaanse sferen ingericht. Wij kregen zo'n prachtige luxe suite echt fantastisch!! Het personeel is enorm gastvriendelijk. Ontbijt is perfect. - nice garden ,big rooms, good location ,not to much traffic. plenty parking. Friendly reception.

The lodge is perfectly placed -just 5 minutes drive from the south gate. If you're going to Addo this place is ideal and the hosts Isabelle and Christoff are most obliging - Isabelle and Christophe were the most brilliant hosts and ran the hotel in a lovely relaxed manner. The room was wonderful and the outdoor shower enchanting. It was a brilliant place to stay for the Addo Elephant Park just 10 minutes drive from the gates. I would definitely stay there again. The food was very good, the room clean and very comfortable.
