  The room we had was quite basic and a bit older, but had everything we needed and was comfortable, with fresh towels and linens, and a nice view into the town. Also, the staff was friendly and helpful, with Florence (the girl checking us in) showing us around the property, showing us the parking and giving us some information and tips about the ar... wat mensen zeggen » ea and even offering us a nice drink while we checked-in. Also the owner, Arno, was very friendly and helped us with some plans and offered great tips - Excellent location; smack in the middle of the town center. The owner (arno Zacharias who looks like a rock star) & his staff were all accommodating & professional. They helped me plan small trips in & around stunning Stellenbosch. Ah, everybody should not miss the wine route! Room was kept immaculate. Breakfast was adequate. Arno was kind enough to offer me a lift back to the train station for capetown. Thanks! I will definitely stay here again. I really liked the welcoming spirit.

  It offered very good value for money and since we we going to a wedding and only going to be arriving late and night and leaving early the next morning, we did not need all the bells and whistles.   Everything was really really great - excellent service, good and diverse breakfast, very helpful and kind staff. We had a beautiful room on the ground floor with terrace, which was perfect for relaxation. The house is surrounded by greenery and in a calm neighbourhood, only a 10-minute walk from the Stellenbosch center. If you are attending a conference in Spier (or somewhere close), it is o - Nice big rooms - the downstairs room have a small terrace so you can sit outside. The house has lovely wooden floors/victorian baths etc which give it character. Breakfast was simple but fresh. Ben was very very helpful responding to our every request very quickly and efficiently. This is a budget friendly option for staying in Stellenbosch. Next time I think I would stay somewhere closer to the restaurants in town.

  This is an amazing find in the heart of Stellenbosch, right next to the botanical gardens, and some wonderful restaurants. The room was spotless, the staff attentive and kind, the ambience calm and vintage, with some lovely retro touches in the rooms. We had been several times to the EEndracht locally but they were overpriced, and their breakfasts were not memorable, and we were slightly apprehensive as to what we might expect.   Everything about the guest house was great. The apartment I had booked was so cosy and the service was superb. I have been recommending the place to friends since my return home. I am definately staying there again when next I go to Stellenbosch. - Well this time I had my own private fridge, AND the ultimate luxury.....a bath WITH bubblebath!
