  33 on first is a wonderful guest house, with a very beautiful decoration, very friendly staff, really tasteful breakfast and located in the best neighborhood of Johannesburg (safe and quiet, but with many options of restaurants and bars). However, the best experience we had in the week we stayed in the house was the contact with Johan, the owner. ... wat mensen zeggen » He is a really friendly person who gave us many precious tips about the city (food and tourism) and made us feel like we were home. - A very attractive decoration with home atmosphere cerated by all but specially by Johann-owner. Tasteful South African breakfast (for my friends it was a first time in RSA), no problem with anything we asked for - thanks Johann.

We were pleasantly surprised that they have a honesty bar in room , not often that you find one anymore and it's a great touch. King size bed very comfortable and adored the outside bathroom.   A friend and myself needed accommodation for one night before our train trip back to Cape Town. We have never been to Johannesburg and surroundings and were extremely delighted with our choice of accommodation. Peaceful surroundings, birdlife, beautiful and comfortable room, large garden with chairs and tables on the patio or outside, and every a... wat mensen zeggen » menity you needed to make your stay comfortable and relaxing. We arrived earlier than check-in time due and were immediately offered coffee and a plac - The staff were very friendly and very helpfull in every situation. The water meter had been stollen so we were without water for a good part of a day. The staff made sure we had water and hot water whenever we needed it. Wonderful breakfasts. Nice location in Johannesburg. Would stay again for sure.

  I stayed here for a bussiness-trip in februari 2013. Felt home from the moment I entered the guesthouse. Staff members are very helpfull. The garden is a very nice place to sit after a day working.   Amazingly friendly hosts who catered to our every need - including treating us like friends giving us lifts everywhere and the most delicious breakfasts including fresh scones and croissants. Its walking distance to local eateries so you don't need to drive.   Loved the decour, gardens, atmosphere, bathroom, comfy bed, nice white linen, and especially the exceptionally welcoming and helpful staff - The staff was very freindly and helpful. We landed in Jo'burg after 24 hours of travelling and the warm welcome was well appreciated.
