  Room exceptionally clean,staff very warm and helpful.Breakfast server with a smile by Your friendly chefs and staff. l would have rated excellent on facilities,but telephone was not working and had to go downstairs to order room service which was a nightmare. Food server was horrible,given wrong order drink,to top it all,it was delivered 1/30(one ... wat mensen zeggen » and half) hout after l ordered,had to use ny cellphone to het it as it was very late and was tired of walking to and fro. That spoilt My whole stay as - The staff was very friendly and warm. We were treated very well. The location of the hotel was very central to most tourist attractions and there was a great vibe. The breakfast was very nice as well. The hotel was ideal for a family as the fridge, kettle with beverages and sink plus microwave was a bonus as it made it possible to save on costs by not having to eat out and enjoy meals in the hotel, appreciating the views in the dining area. The hotel gets a 10/10 from me and i really got value

  I stayed at the Tropicana in December 2010 and was not impressed at all. During my last stay I notced a remarkable improvement, i.e refurbishment, staff, etc. Well done! - The fact that it is on the beach front and our bus just dropped us at the door, that was awesome. Value for money as well.

  The hotel is well priced but the location is very dodgy to say the least.We were able to get parking at least.The close proximity of the bars are a huge turnoff and that coupled with the night staff at the front desk being so indifferent to my child who tried to greet was not a great advert for the hotel.I Was happy with the rest of the staff as w... wat mensen zeggen » ell as the neatness and breakfast was satisfactory.I Will not stay there again.It is not kid friendly. - We had a nice weekend @ Albany hotel together with my friends.   Although its in the city, you don't get to hear to city noise and the views from the hotel are very nice - From arrival to departure, we were made to feel that we were guests and not just people to fill rooms. We would stay there again when next we visit Durban.

It was funished with antique furniture and the bed was of a good qual - The total experience, but primarily the rewriting of history. The colonial history of the hotel is abundantly clear in its incredible collection of wooden furniture, tap crowns, low door handles, etc. However, it reflects a poetic irony in the Madiba art collection and his inspiring words in his own handwriting, and the "new" queen of the castle halfway up the majestic stair case.   I loved the design. The room was beautiful. Clean. Huge pillows. Amazing shower. Young. Trendy. Quirky. Modern. All the elements combined provided an enjoyable stay. Dstv full bouquet provided, which was cool as well. Mini bar was pretty neat. The little courtyard which the room opened up to was superb. The pro's definetly outway the cons.   Excellent!!! Like others who have stated...I rarely leave comments ...I had read some negative comments which made me somewhat uncomfortable..wanted to stay on the Beach..but I am glad I chose Quarters..the staff was one of the Nicest and Friendliest I have ever encountered...breakfast was GREAT..Rooms perfect..I have traveled from Alaska to Cape... wat mensen zeggen » town and a whole lot of places in between...so if you read negative comments..Please Disregard..great Indian Restuarant down the street ...Vintage...i - The staff were excellent; friendly service, more than accommodating. Room was perfect. Bathroom were lovely. The meals were delicious, room service was quick, and when I was sick for a day in bed, the staff were more than happy to check up and see if I needed anything. Very, very much appreciated and one of the nicest places to stay at a good rate. Highly recommended.

  The gate men, the receptionists and women staffers (more so from the restaurant, the JAM) were super. The displayed professionalism at all times and were extremely friendly. Lovely people who were helpful at all times.
