  Very good location, easy to go anywhere. Staffs were the best. They had very good attitude and were keen to help any time. The free mini bar was excellent. Room was bit small but that's how it is in Singapore. Very comfortable bed. We got a corner room, so we had 2 different views which one of them was a great forest view.   Friendly, attentive staff. Nothing was too much trouble for them. Lovely heritage building - so much nicer than staying in some impersonal international high-rise. Location in China town with plenty of great eating places (try the amazing Moojaa down the road). Close to a station with easy access to all parts of the city. I would highly recommend this hotel and plan to return. - We liked everything,,we are quite tall and e wn though the rooms are small the bed was very comfortable and roomy. We loved the small courtyard off our room, all the amenities were there our room was serviced everyday and everything was spotless, staff were very welcoming, and it was so closeto the MRT and within easy walking distance to Chinatown, bars and Restaurants in the area. We would stay there again and recommend to our friends.

  Stayed as a single person in a double room with a balcony overlooking the street. I really liked the balcony and did not find the street particularly noisy. I liked the early bells from the Indian temple. Close to Chinatown but far enough away from Pagoda Street to not be crowded. The wonderful Tong Ah restaurant is just up the road. Needed to do work on my computer but floor space too small to sit at ledge/desk on the chair so I put the computer on a pil - The staff at the hotel were very friendly and professional. The lobby desk staff were always enthusiastic, kind, polite, and always ready to help myself and other guests! To the front desk staff at Hotel 1929, Melissa, Sam, Min, and Tamil great job!   Location is the best, just 200 m from the prominent Chinatown MRT (can walk even with wheeled baggage- we had 4!), which is connected to every part of the city's sights by MRT/ bus. The hip Clark Quay is about a 5 min walk away. The rooms are clean, have a window and all essential facilities. Enough free literature available at the reception and quite efficient staff, though not too in - The Inn is only a few metres from the Chinatown Markets & the mrt is so close that if you have a fair amount of baggage, you won't have far to drag it if you catch the train to or from Changi. The rooms are not big but really clean and there's no elevator but its a very short climb up the stairs anyhow.. Your hardly ever there so its not a big deal! There's plenty of sightseeing close by, malls and eating establishments are everywhere within a couple of minutes walking distance so you'll al
