  Traditional hotel from old times but well modernized and maintained. Fairly comparable with western business hotels. Good location next to underground station. We were given a junior suite by price of standard twin due to booking situation and arrival at 19:30 so can't review normal room but suite was excellent. Reception staff was really helpful ... wat mensen zeggen » and friendly despite of bit old-fashioned sign-in and payment processes. As a coincidence we met the lady who had made our sign-in one hour later at u - Perfect location. Minimum time spent for registration to hotel. Unexpectedly tasty breakfast with lot of options.

  The Anchikov has only a few rooms and the staff really treat all of their guests like a kings and queens. From the minute I arrived to the minute I left the staff did everything to make my stay a pleasurable one. For example, I had problems getting my rail tickets confirmed online and was about to purchase new tickets if the staff had not worked ... wat mensen zeggen » an entire night to get my tickets confirmed. St Petersburg is such a wonderful city and the staff at Anichkov certainly contribute to make everyone's - The staff were superb and always on hand to help. The location was ideal and meant that everything in the historic heart of the city was within walking distance. The water cooler was very handy!
