  I've been there the second time. This time I stayed on the ground floor not too far from reception. Nevertheless we had two seperate beds we could make them closely. The room was much better than it had been on the third floor before. I liked a girl from the hall bar, she was pretty, positive and attentive excepting another girl from reception. I bought my staying there by means - Helpful staff, they smiled all the time and did everything to help us! Good breakfast many choices! It's really close to "producti's" (small local grocery stores) and to some cafes and to pushkinkaya metro station, also walking to Nevsky prospect is not far a at all!!

  My partner and I loved our stay at Hotel Vera! The reception staff were friendly and helpful in every way and were able to speak English, they happily provided us with transport and city information. The rooms were really lovely and spotlessly clean! There are busses 2 minutes walk from the hotel that run regularly and take - Very conveniently located hotel in Art-Deco style. I received a warm welcome upon arrival from Artyom and was well informed about hotel's facilities. Then dined in the nice and cosy hotel restaurant, where the food tasted very well and service was ok. The room was ok for the 3-star standard and very clean (well, all the public areas of the hotel are kept very clean). Breakfast is very good and serving time is until 11.00.   We've spent about 8 weeks in St. Petersburg over the past 5 years as students, and our dorms were located in old Soviet apartment blocks; so this hotel was a welcomed change for our short visit back to Peter!! The hotel was very clean, which surprised me as most of St. Petersburg is on the dirtier side. I thought that aspect of the visit was excel... wat mensen zeggen » lent. It also appeared that the rooms had been recently refurbished, with laminate wood flooring, an updated bathroom, and nice furnishings and wardro - A very correct hotel, with extremely large bar/ dining room complex and a pub open late. Excellent food in that pub (which is a rare thing to find in that town). Excellent coffee, and plenty of space to comfortably read a paper. Location is excellent - not right at the center with all its tourist traps but a little kickback at calm Vasilevsky Island. A very good place on the whole although on the expensive side.
