  The staff was lovely. Every single one of them. Although the entrance of the building was a little dodgy, as soon as you enter the hotel, it was a very nice, comfortable and home like interior. We loved staying here, and I am sure, if I come again, I will definitely stay here. The hotel is very small - 22 rooms. Made from several former apartments. Stayed for May holidays - extremely cheap for such period.   My review is based on booking a standard room, so there is no option of breakfast in the room. The location and value for money is excellent. We walked everywhere on the trip, and the main street is around 10 - 15 minutes walk. Brekfast is served in the hotel based in the same building, not great but enough to get us started. Staff were friendly - The hotel was very clean and comfortable. The location is also excellent -- you can easily walk to the Hermitage and Nevsky Prospekt, and it's only a couple blocks from St. Isaac's, but it's far enough way from the main tourist areas that it's fairly quiet. The staff were friendly and spoke excellent English. The breakfast is good -- porridge, boiled egg, toast, coffee, juice -- and it's not a buffet!
