  Located in Guilez a 10 minute bus ride for 40pence up to the old town, take the number 1 bus to Jma el Fna. Hotel friendly and as decribed. Pool area full but no nonsense over sun beds, the pool attendant made sure everyone got a place in the sun. Close to all local amenities, check out the railway station, really great building.   The location is great and very close to new city and a 20 minute walk to Medina & Jamal Fna Sq. We paid 250 Dirhams from the airport (rak) to hotel which was total rip off as we paid 50 Dirhams when we returned. Beware of taxi's as the hotel is only 10 minutes ride. There was a mini fridge in the room, we bought drinks which was grea - Its a traditionell arabic hotel with the traditionell arabic friendlyness and service. There is no alcohol and no smoking in the hotel and its all about serving the guest and making him feel like at home. We loved this hotel and especcially his employees. Tho hotel is near to many sight seeings and nice places and the pool is big enough to do a good swimm, great hotel for a good price, we loved it.

  Very pleasant hotel, with impressive atrium seating area, decent pool and clay tennis courts. Essentially it's a sort of French version of a Thompsons hotel. Good breakfast, large room and ideally placed for exploring Marrakech (see guide below). Would certainly recommend Les Idrissides. There are a selection of varying hotel standards to fit your choice but, more importantly, it is centrally connect - The family rooms are fantastic. You could lose yourself in the suite. The rooms were really spaceous, great faccilities, hotel really gets everyone involved with alot of events taking place, pools were great, easy to exchange money. The maids cleaning the room used the towels to create patterns etc on the beds which the kids really loved. They also always left sweets and rose petals on the beds every nice was was great. Breakfast was a fantastic selection, not far from the centre, all taxis

  Hotel Chems is a wonderful oasis far enough away from the chaos of the city! You can walk back from the main square past the beautiful church and through the beautiful gardens. The hotel is warm and inviting, the staff are friendly and it’s the perfect place to relax in Morocco without breaking the bank! We enjoyed drinking cocktails by the pool and relaxing in the cool water - Great value for money. We stayed here for our last 2 nights in Marrakech, having stayed the first 5 in a riad. It was nice to relax by the pool on the sun loungers. It wasn't too busy we got sun loungers each day. The room was a good size and clean. Breakfast was included with lots to choose from. We went into the main square for dinner so can't comment but the lunch was nice, they do a different special everyday which is cheaper than everything else but not on the main menu so so keep an eye o
