I expected traditional Moroccan decor at this Riad and can say I was not disappointed - my room was just fantastic! The breakfast was exceptional with a great variety of food and plenty of it. The locality of the Riad was good once I had worked out where I was in relation to the medina. I leave my final comments for the staff - they just could not be faulted and contributed to me having a wonderful stay at La Maison Verte. There was Hicham who was in charge of security etc; Khadija and Habiba .

The food at the Palais Verte was wonderful. The views from the terras is incredible. The only negative we have to say is that we didn't stay long enough!!! Getting to the riad by car was a little daunting at first,but someone met us and drove ahead of us,from there on we were well taken care off. Riad La Maison Verte was right in the heart of the medina. The whole building was a beautiful refurbished manor type house. It was excellently decorated and offered everything that was described in the postings online. The staff was friendly and very attentive. The breakfast was excellent and on the beautiful, calm terrace overlooking the city skyline. It would do go to know some french before you go, as that was the easiest way to communicate. This is an amazing riad which offers exceptional services. I felt like I was treated exclusively. We got free upgrade to a deluxe room as it was the low season. Staff there are extremely friendly and respectful. Not to mention the best part -- the rooftop terrace, which offers a splendid view of the entire medina of fes. I would strongly recommend people to choose this riad if you wanna feel the true fes. And I will definitely go back again!!. Riad has very nice traditional Maroccan interior. Room are spacious and clean. There is a man, who's name I do not know, but he is a host and he is always in Riad, he is very nice, helpful and 24 hours on disposition, very kind and polite. He was making us tea in the evening and helped us with everything we needed. Terrace is very nice, breakfast is fine. The terrace was the best part. Having breakfast with such a breathtaking view of Fés was incredible. The breakfast itself was rich and tasty, so much so that we never needed to have lunch after that. Also, the young man and woman who work there are very kind and always make you feel comfortable. The location was perfect. Everything about this riad was amazing! From the beautiful room to the super efficient, yet very discreet, friendly staff. Breakfast was wonderful, full of traditional foods both sweet and savoury, and the manageress was eager to organise guides around the city and visits to the hammam. A truly fabulous experience!. The hotel itself is so cute and reflects the tastes of traditional old Morrocan houses. The location is close to almost all touristic place in Fes. The Staff were very kind and helpfull. Very nice place, good value for money. We were with our 1 year old son and they provided a cot as well. Floor did get cold for him though. We were there in November. Best customer service I have ever experienced. Very personalised. It felt like a family atmosphere and they went beyond the call of duty to satisfy your needs. Charming atmosphere and excellent staff. Breakfast on the terrace with stunning view is unforgettable. Loved the interiors here, staff were excellent, breakfast was awesome. Highly recommend this Riad. I liked everything. The staff is friendly, the rooms clean, the food is tasty. To find!. Best customer service of any place I've stayed!. Well treated, lovely decor, great breakfasts. Everyone at this Riad was wonderful. Many did not speak English but they smiled every day and greeted us with warmth. I was very ill when I arrived and the staff went out of their way, amazingly above and beyond to help me. Rita made haste to bring an exceptional physician to my room who diagnosed and helped me. He spoke no English but was highly educated and very professional. He did not charge me for the visit just for the medication I needed which is very difficult to get IinMMorocco. I . We loved the terrace garden and the staff was exceptional. We would recommend this hotel only because the owner and the staff are so helpful and nice. The Raid is beautiful because of the restoration of the architecture; however, there could be more detail in cleaning the bathrooms. The location was hard to find, but tell the hotel in advanced and they will pick you up from the airport or train station. Don't let the locals lead you there, its so hard to find, even they don't know where it is!!. People from Riad have organized a visit to a hammam, that was not very good, and prices were higher than we were told in Riad. We had a triple room but I suspect it was a double room that was sold for a triple, as we were a bit tight and the hot water was not enough to have three showers in one morning. But that was ok, everything else was just perfect. Nothing. We only stayed one night. Would have been nice to have stayed a few more nights. Organized tour in Meknes with "official guide" interested mainly in guiding us to "official shops". Location of Riad, near Place Rcif, is not inside the medina, near Kalaa Seghira like it seems to be in letsbookhotel.com map. Anyway you can reach the centre medina in 20 minutes walk. No tv though on booking confirmation. The breakfast was ok but not great. We did an excursion through the Riad to Meknes etc. And it was 1000 dh just for the ride there and back which was 2 hours one way. There was no guide included. That was very overpriced as we thought the driver was also our guide. He was not. We took a taxi from merzouga to Fez for 1000 dh and that is an 8 hour ride. On the other hand we had a guide in Fez they set up for us, his name was Ahmed. He was excellent. We enjoyed him very much. The location is next to a city water supply and the call to prayer speaker. It is extremely noisy. The bathrooms could be cleaned better; found mold and gump around sinks and counter. letsbookhotel.com stated on it's site that they take American Express, this is not true. We had a little difficulty with this issue.
