  Close to city center. Pool is small but very welcome after a hot day of sightseeing. Room and hotel is old but has charm and is clean. Staff very helpful if you speak Spanish.   So inexpensive. Deep swimming pool about 1.5 meter. The hotel and the rooms are very simple but pretty large. A lot of channels with the tv. A lot of trees before the swimming pool. Easy to find when you figure how the streets are divided. - Good price value. could use some updates but overall was fine. Rooms are clean. nice staff (no english).

  Merida was our first destination, and this was our first trip to the peninsula. We were not prepared for how run-down and chaotic the city would be. Driving a rental car around, trying to find our hotel and then the parking lot was very confusing and a little bit scary at first. The hotel is very open and light, and our room looked right out onto the pool through one-way glass. The Dolores Alba is charming and - Near the historic center where you can enjoy a touch of history (able to walk there, but just one block too far to really be in the vivid part). Rooms are very spacious and clean. Breakfast is ok but quite simple, nothing special. Very friendly staff that speaks English very well. Parking lot is definitely a bonus (free and totally private and thus very safe to leave your car).
