  The hotel is very close to the Asakusabashi station, that is very good to know the city during the day using trains and subways. But there is no much to do around the hotel at night.   This was the second time I chose this hotel. I couldn't find any other hotel that can fit my requirements. The hotel is within a walking distant to a JR station (Ueno), making it really easy to navigate around Tokyo. The JR Ueno Station has adequate escalators and elevators for heavy luggage. The hotel also is just 200m away from a subway station... wat mensen zeggen » (use this subway station if you want to go to the Sky Tree). There are a lot of convenience stores around the hotel. This hotel also gives free wifi - Oak hotel is the best hotel in Tokyo if you do not want to pay much money but have a nice room to stay in. Compared to other hotels, this one is the cheapest and gives the best service. When we got into the room it was heated for us because it was very cold that day. Also, every day you get clean towels, toothbrushes, shaving materials, soap, shampoo, etc. Also you room gets cleaned every day.   Such a great place. Locals all so friendly and tried to help us find it. Almost didnt see it and was too busy looking at crappy buildings next door. Its very modern and has great facilities. Walk from station nit very far only 10 or so min. - The room was comfy and location wasn't too bad.   The location was great, you could see the the hotel from Kichijyoji Station. They upgraded us to double size bed room instead of semi-double bed room. The room was small but it was clean and nice. - Great location! En suite coffee and refrigerator. Friendly and welcoming staff.

  Hotel is about 7 minutes walking from Shinjuku Station and in front of Tochomae Subway Station. Most of the staff speak English. The most impressive situation was when we checked out: due personal reason we needed to check out 1 day before scheduled, we didn't ask for any discount because it was our "fault", but the hotel said this was not fair t... wat mensen zeggen » o us and (as we have paid at check in via credit card) they gave back to us the cash of 1 night. We used to travel all over the world and we have neve - It was the cheap option for a central location to Shinjuku. Observation level of govt building is across the street. You can walk directly to Shin via a subway or take the street. It has many eating options within the hotel should you wish to stay in house. Rooms are small and typical Tokyo style but do the job. Foreigners info desk were really helpful in all matters.
