The capsule Inn is a fantastic and highly recommendable place to stay
for solo travelers (m/f) willing to experience an authentic Japanese
hostel stay away from the beaten paths. The Inn mostly serves to
Japanese people who come her to have a quiet, disengaged and relaxing
time. House and bed wear (yukata), towels, tooth brush, soap, shampoo
are provided. The facilities are super clean, tasteful and comfortable.
The capsule beds are large enough to fit tall westerners. The capsules
provide bett. alle beoordelingen »
Located 2 min off a Yamanote line station.
The whole experience is 100% Japanese but perfectly 'doable' for foreigners.
The bath (sento) is a great treat for the body before hitting the capsule.
The capsules are comfortable and quiet.
Staff is very helpful and speaks enough English.
Relaxation area with restaurant is a nice extra.
Best female-friendly capsule I've found. Literally a half minute walk from the subway, decent Jspanese-style bath, good food, everything very reasonably priced for Tokyo.
Good Bath with sauna, helpful staff, good connection to public transportation, big collection of manga in the public area and the female bath area.
super cheap, lots of shared amenities.
The 24 hour spa, sauna and steam room!.
No power outlet in capsule (although outlets in the corridors can be used).
No free wifi.
Lockers in bathing facility are very narrow, just enough for a day sack. (Probably you can ask staff to store stuff downstairs but I didn't need to.)
Chances are you will be the only foreigner, most guests are Japanese 'salarymen' - this is not a drawback, just to say that it is not a place for socialising.
The futons in the capsules are a bit lumpy. I only started the be bothered by it on my third night though.
No power outlet in the capsules (male and female), lots of cigarette smoke in the public area.
The personal lockers are part of the bath and are a little slim (too slim for a small backpack), but there are coin lockers and luggage can be stored at the front desk for 300 Yen per item and day (if i remember correctly).
pillows/beds were uncomfortable, noisy capsules (as expected).
The smell inside the capsule and in the toilets.
The vegetarian meal I ordered contained 2 big chunks of beef.
