  It's very close to the main square, the bus and train station. Just take the 'Alps' exit and you'll see the hotel. It's right there. The view is very nice (we got the 7th floor) - The hotel is right next to Matsumoto Train Station. Very convinient to the dining area

  Excellent location right next to the train station (as the name suggests). Good base for exploring charming Matsumoto. Staff are very friendly and generally have a good level of spoken English. Rooms are small but comfortable. Wifi signal was very strong in the rooms (enough to support Skype video calls). Good communal baths on the 7th floor. Woul... wat mensen zeggen » d definitely recommend this hotel for a few nights. - The rooms were clean and the beds were comfortable. The location of this hotel near the train station, made it very convenient to get to from the Shinkansen. The hotel staff were very friendly and they helped us find four of the towns free bikes so that we were able to see Matsumoto castle before it closed. The lounge next to the bar was also really nice to hang out at and have a few drinks.

  The hotel is well located and easy to find from the station as it is just up the main street. About a 10min walk through the town to the castle. Close to the shops and restaurants. I had a twin room, and it was very comfortable and reasonably spacious with a separate sitting area and entrance. The hotel staff is professional and helpful. It's quite nic - A great hotel which corresponds to all my needs ! Room clean,beautifully designed ,practical and comfortable. Staff very friendly and welcoming .   Great location being walking distance from the train station and the castle with plenty of restaurants and night life nearby. We could see the castle from our room and the inclusion of a buffet style breakfast made this hotel excellent value. - The staff was really awesome, we asked for a place to eat and he actually told us the wrong street, but... wat mensen zeggen » about 2 min after we left we saw him running up behind us and took us to the right place. (Also it was really good ramen)

  Very neat, clean, professional and up-market hotel compared to our usual 'backpacker' lodgings. Most expensive accommodation we stayed in, but could not find any better - due to our late booking and its very central location a short walk from the station and a very short walk to the castle. Very nice Japanese style rooms with roomy shower/bath and (seperate) toilet room. - The hotel is very well located, a few steps away from Matsumoto castle, the tourism office and many restaurants. Very clean and comfortable, the hotel has an onsen on site and offers free bicycle rental. The staff is polite, helpful, and at ease in English. Probably the best cost / value hotel that I have seen in Japan.

Even if you miss the shuttle, it's quite walkable (less than 10 min) to the center of town. - This hotel was excellent and cheap.   A room was quite big and it was very comfortable. I also love free wifi there. The staffs cannot speak much English but they all are very great with their attempts to help. I would love to stay there once again. - Good sized room for Japan, with seating area. Breakfast - good miso soup and rice cakes. Friendly staff.
